It kind of annoys me...

in Delaware
...that the Knot lists our location as Philadelphia.  I mean I know that DE is small and everything, but I am not from Philly or having my wedding in Philly (like the Knot says in my profile.)  If I were, wouldn't I be on a PA board?!  Is there anyone else this bothers?  Is there any way to change it?  I know it doesn't really matter, but it's my little knot pet peeve!

    Unfortunately, there is not a way to change it.  While it has been mentioned (they changed the formatting of the boards not too long ago, and when they allowed mods in for a sneak peek, it was something I asked), currently, there is not a way to change it like there is on the Nest. 

    Hopefully, though, they will be implementing that change soon- when I raised the question, the reply was it is something that happens in other parts of the country as well, and they hope to have it fixed soon.  Since they had other major issues with the boards switchover, though, they had to take care of those issues first before moving on to the little, more insignificant things (when I say issues, I mean not being able to access certain boards/members not being able to sign on/posts being randomly deleted types of things!).

    PS- I know it bothers some of y'all (it peeves me too), but also remember that you aren't limited to this board.  The Philly board and the South Jersey board are both excellent resources for this area as well; most of the vendors you will find on those two boards will travel to this area for no fee or a very nominal one.  Don't ignore those boards; check them out!

    Yeah I am from SJ originally, and I just checked out the Philly board for the first time this evening after posting this thread (wanted to see if there was one!)  I do wish it would say Wilmington, but I'd rather them fix the stupid error messages that pop up all the time than something like this.

    They probably direct people to the largest metropolitan area/city nearby thinking that there will be more people and resources there.  Like MsBriar, I check the DE, Philly and South Jersey boards.

    I feel your annoyance.  I'm clear down here in Sussex County, so Philadelphia doesn't come close to accurately describing my location.  But as you see, I just say where I am from.  LOL
