    Oh wow!! Thanks LaughingLaughingLaughing

    1. First Name & Fiance's First Name: Ashley & Matthew

    2. Your Birthday & Age and Fiance's Birthday and Age: 4/15 & 2/23; both 25

    3. City Born In? Daytona Beach

    4. City Live in? Orlando

    5. Where did you go to college? University of Central Florida

    6. What was your major? Journalism

    7. What is your current job? Marketing Coordinator

    8. What is your dream job? Full-time wife & mom (call me old fashioned)

    9. How did you and your fiance meet? At band camp. He introduced himself to me because there were only 8 black people out of a 200 person band.

    10.  When did you get engaged and how did he do it?? December 24, 2008 at Cheesecake Factory. He had it written on the dessert plate.

    11. When is the Wedding Day? February 15, 2010

    12. Where is the ceremony and reception? Lake Mary

    13. What are your wedding colors? Sage (green), chocolate (dark brown), ivory, gold

    14. Where are you honeymooning? Orlando -- we've lived here for so long, but have never been tourists... we're going to find out what it's like on the other side... Disney, Universal, and Islands of Adventure here we come!

    15. Favorite wedding vendor so far? Big City Catering. Shannon has been a huge help and great communicator. She's respectful of my budget and has never pressured me to spend more for upgrades that won't matter in the long run...

    16. Biggest wedding splurge? The venue.

    17. What is something you wish you could have at the wedding but don't? More decor... I would love to have towering centerpieces made of flowers, branches, and crystals; uplighting; and our names in lights. OH, and more people. There were at least 75 more people we wanted to invite (in addition to the 140 we settled on) but couldn't.

    18. Another knottie wedding you'd like to attend? Panda16

    19. Favorite book? Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston

    20. Favorite movie? The Color Purple.... although I have to admit, I've watched Why Did I Get Married at least 10 times in the past month.

    21. Favorite tv show? Golden Girls

    22. Favorite wedding dress designer? Vera Wang

    23. Any advice you can give? Don't sweat the small stuff and enjoy this time.

    24. Anything you wish you could change about your wedding? The budget. LOL!

    25. Share something about yourself!!  I'm in love with my life, I adore my future, and admire my past...

Thanks for the opportunity to share, ladies

Your wedding is REALLY close so I wanted to get to know you in case you depart from us after the wedding (hopefully you wont)...

    Ok, here are some ???

1 -  Did you have any clues or suspitions that a proposal was coming?

2 - This may be a silly question but did you realize that you were getting married on Presidents Day? Was this something that was planned?

LOL! You're the BEST... You are one of only like 3 people that realized this was Presidents Day! Actually we chose that day for a few reasons:

    - I wanted to get married in August 2010 and FI wanted to get married in November 2009 (he told me this in May 2009)... So the month of February was our compromise.

    - We fell in love with the venue and since it's extremely popular for weddings... the only days they have available in Feb were the 14th and 15th. Getting married on V-Day just wouldn't be "us" you know? So, we decided to go with Pres Day.

    - Having it on an off day helped cut down the guest list (which cut the catering, floral, and linen costs) and saved us a ton of $$... We paid less than 1/3 of the price of a weekend wedding at that location.

As for the proposal... I had no idea but I was glad that I chose to dress up for dinner that night!

BTW, the plan is to keep visiting after the wedding Wink

If money were no object, and you and FI had two weeks of paid vacation time, where would you go for your dream honeymoon?

Since your wedding is on President's Day, if you could be President of the United States for 30 days, what would be the top 3 things you would want to do?

My biggest pet peeve? Wedding related or Non-WR?
WR: My biggest pet peeve has been folks who don't read instructions... case in point--the invitation packages featured the invite, accomodation cards with hotel and airport info on them, direction cards, and RSVP card that said "we have reserved ______ seat(s) for you" and they said "To RSVP please visit <INSERT WEBSITE HERE /> or call <INSERT NUMBER HERE>."

Girl, tayle me why I had people calling to ask if they could bring additional guests, complaining that they couldn't find a hotel to stay at, aaannnnd asking where to send the RSVP card to because it didn't have an address on it.

I really wanted to say "I regret to inform you that your invitation to our wedding hinged on your ability to follow instructions... you failed. As a result, we will have ot revoke your invitation."

Non WR Pet Peeve: When folks call and leave a voice message that says anything to the effect of "Hey it's Sonya. Call me back."  No details, no timeframe, nothin...

Dream honeymoon: Greece! I would love to see the ruins, and the greenery, and the cities on the cliffs that seem to drop off into clear blue waters, eat the food, and experience the culture.

If I could be President for 30 days? Ha, spoken like a true academic (you're a school admin, right Berrytr)... Now you know it would probably take at least 30 days to get a grip on what's REALLY going on :)
