NWR - community support

I'm trying to create an 'inventory' of community support programs, for a project at my church. For example, I want to find out who I could call for addiction support, bereavement support, etc. in my neighbourhood. Is there any community information like that available, or do I need to look up every single program myself?

That's a tough question - I'm sure you can find out a lot of information online for certain programs and where they are located in the city, but Toronto is big so its not like there is a small "town hall" in every neighborhood for local support group information.

A lot of single programs have links to other programs, so I would try City of Toronto websites first, and hopefully they have links to other support centers!  Good luck!

I dunno how it works in Ontario butttt in NS it's pretty easy to go to the district health authority website and the community services sites for those sort of things.  Those websites have a wealth of information on them! Hope that helps:)

I would just go to service canada. Most are government funded so they should have a list.

try your local community centre. If the people there can't give the info, there should be pamphlets on local services for people to pick up....I know there are in my neck of the woods, like health clinics and stuff like that.
