Friday Accountability

Here it is ladies- how did your 1st week go? I, presonally, am ashamed of myself for how I have eaten this week and had such little control. I do feel this is helping though, at least I am admiting my problem lol (That's the 1st step right?)

B- Breakfast drink
L- was doing so good, I had an apple and peanut butter. Thennn, they had a meet and greet at work, I just had salad, fine, and then they cut me a HUGE slice of cake. I couldn't turn it down, the cake was essentially for me and the other newbies, and once I started eating it, it was soooo good I couldn't stop. :( Ughhh

S- canteloupe

D- One red potatoe and some pieces of london broil.

I will not have dessert today, or soda.

  • Its only 2:30 for me but Ill go ahead and post since I prolly wont be on later tonight or tomorrow.

    B: half a sesame bagel with low fat cream cheese
    S: 1/2 cup non fat greek yogurt with strawberries and agave nectar
    L: Half a wheat turkey ham and cheese sandwich, Wheat thins and laughing cow light cheese wedge
    S: Jalepeno and pesto hummus with carrots(will be eating this soon)
    D: no clue yet but will try to keep it light

    E: non existant today becuase my body was just telling me no this morning so giving it some rest since doing the color run tomorrow but I may try to do a short jog or something light tonight since I feel weird not getting in any exercise now.

    This weekend will probably be bad on eating since going into the city for the color run will prolly mean going out to eat there after. On Sunday going with my mom and FMIL to a mother of the bride dress event at the store I got my dress at so will probably be going out to eat then too. When packing my lunch adn eating at home I can do really well with eating but the second I go out to eat I always want something bad for me but try to save half for later to make myself feel better about it.

  • B: coffee with a little bit of half and half L: a mini salad with mango dressing, black beans and a tiny bit of cheese and a mini "naked" burrito with rice, black beans, tomatos and a small amount of cheese and water to drink S: a coke slurpee from Speedway...it's too hot I codnt pass it up! D: I'm going to a movie tonight so I'll probably just have some popcorn for dinner. I didn't eat very well this week and I only worked out once. I've been feeling really horrible this week and almost passed out while I was running Monday. Today I woke up with neck pain, swollen lymph nodes and a sore throat. I couldn't get into my doctor until Monday, which is awesome considering we have our engagement session on Sunday. Hopefully I'll feel a bit better until then.

    B: trop50 oj it was too early for me to eat anything else No lunch today or snacks cause I got the news my grandfather has to have heart surgery so I was too upset to eat. D: half of margarita chicken sandwich. Chicken, spinach, tomato, basil, and mozzarella on a wrap. S: I will probably have a couple of bites of toffee candy cake I still haven't gotten to exercise since I've been in the hospital every night (I'm actually here right now) with my grandfather. Edit: no snack I went home and went straight to bed. The cake is still sitting in the fridge.

    L- tops premade chicken salad with light dressing
    D-wegmans salad that I threw together from the salad bar with regular dressing, I went easy on it.
    S- cheese string

    E- walked my dog this morning. I slept horrible last night and the dog had us up in the middle of the night puking. I wouldn't survive a workut this morning, so Griz and I walked my 1.87 mile so I could still get something in.
    Total out- 148

    Total for the day= 899

    Here's to hoping nothing but salad for three days flushed my system out somewhat and I can be semi skinny-ish feeling tomorrow. I can't wait to chow down some Pastabilities Penne a la Vodka tomorrow to make up for eating practically nothing these last few days.

  • First of all I want to thank everyone for their advice yesterday!  I'm a total idiot at losing weight!  In college i gained a lot of weight during my last 3 years there.  At the end of my Senior year I had an appendectomy and became really depressed because I was graduating and couldn't really do anything fun since I couldn't do anything strenuous for a month after the surgery.  I ate a lot and never exercised, and I was way over my healthy weight.  LIke, I look at pictures of my 22nd birthday and I'm really embarrassed that it got to that point.  Anyways, I graduated and I told myself that I would lose weight.  I actually lost 35 pounds in about 1 year!  I just worked out and stopped eating snacks and fast food/restaurant food.  Plus I think not being with my sorority sisters (constantly eating junk food in the middle of the night/drinking every weekend) really helped.  Unfortunately I have gained 10 of those pounds back in the past 3 years due to a ridiculous grad school schedule which caused me to be too lazy to eat at home and work out, so I'm just trying to get back down to my smallest weight again.  I just felt healthier and more in shape when I was at that weight.  Plus getting my wedding dress was a huge wake up call!  Long story short, I think I get the basic concepts of losing weight but I just want to make sure I'm doing it in a healthy way that will work for me.  cnf, Myfitnesspal explained how many calories I need every day so now I know!  I weighed myself today and I've lost a pound since my last weigh in (which was before my cupcake rampage in LA) so I'm not so upset and frustrated now that I know that I didn't sabotage my hard work. Thanks for listening to that long rant, I have no one else to talk to about this!  Back to my accountability:

    B:  Special K protein shake
    L:  Archer Farms Fat Free Banana Yogurt, Annie's Organic bunnies and pretzels 150 cal mix
    S:  100 calorie pack of oatmeal squares cereal
    D:  I was stuck at an appointment in a mall (I support people with disabilities at their worksites) and I was near an Auntie Anne's so I got a pretzel to hold me over until I could make it home through the Philly traffic.  At home, my fiance made me his new creation for dinner - a "pizza quesadilla".  We measured out everything that he put in there so we knew how many calories were in it.  I was soooo proud of him!
    Workout:  None since I was on my feet all day and ended up getting home so late.

    Thanks again ladies!  Congrats on everyone doing this all week!

  • My first week was terrible!

    B- bowl of Cheerios and medium iced coffee

    L- Kashi crackers and a bowl of ice cream (I went to my parents' house and there was NOTHING to make lunch with...they were grocery shopping when I arrived. Lol.)

    D- Three Cheese Hamburger Helper and a B&J Strawberry Daquiri wine cooler.

    E- Very little..just up and down to load car from apt, at school, and unloading car at my house.
