  We had 100 people and I think it was maybe 15 minutes perhaps less.  

  We only had our parents and us.

  We are having about 200 people also and I am definitely doing a receiving line because I always hated seeing brides miss the reception to stop at each table! We are actually padding our cocktail hour by 15 minutes or so (possible because we are supplying our own booze, caterer etc. at the venue) and we are going to have pre-poured drinks and tables with pictures and our wine bottle guest "book" set up so those who make it through the recieving line first won't even notice the tiny wait for everyone to make it over to the cocktail hour. wow, I guess that didn't really answer you question but I just thought i'd share
