Are there any Cuban brides out there who have heard of La Bolita, or La Charada? It is similar to La Loteria in Mexican culture in that every number is assigned an "item". I was thinking that since La Charada reaches 100 (which is greater to the number of guests we'll have) it would make a fun/unique was for our guests to find their way to their seats! My FH doesn't really identify with any culture. He is 1/2 Cuban, 1/2 Costa Rican, but both his parents are very "Americanized", AND I'll have a large group of guests who are not Hispanic and will need this explained to. (i.e.: "Why is my name next to the picture of a goat?")
What do you all think? If any of you are familiar with this, can you offer any pointers on how I might pull it off?
I hate having to conform to simple escort cards when something like this is brewing in my head. Any help would be appreciated!
