Hey... I saw that on the news! I think i had seen somewhere that the husband was in fact a lot older than her, like 58, and they had been together for 2 years....but that is OKlahoma for you...Ha.

Same here with my FI...he's gonna do his over the summer before we move into a house/apartment. He's taught me everything I know about guns. I can't imagine myself with a child at that age...I want to enjoy mine and FI's time alone for a good while before kids come along. :) It's really sad that she lost her husband and I can't believe that her husband was that much older than her...my cousin's 30 and her husband is about twenty years older...but she met him when she was in her twenties already. So it's not quite the same.. .(Had to go back and edit...phone's acting up again)

Wow, so scary.
I still stand by the fact that her husband was a pedophile, but I honestly don't judge her for the situation. A young girl who was not in contact with her parents living with a 55 year old man is understandably drawn to him. It's up to the adult to maintain a respectable distance, if she was a legitimate boarder when she was 15 years old rather than already in a romantic relationship with him when she moved in.
I get choked up listening to the dispatcher say, "You do what you have to do to protect your baby." I don't know how she held it together so well, I am completely in awe of her strength.
