Things are about to get very hectic....(vent and prayer request)

I start an intensive remedial math class March 21. The class will meet Mon, Tues, Thrus and Fri with a lab Fri. It will last until mid May. I already have another class that meets tues and thurs nights and so this will be another thing. Fi's schedule has gotten more crammed recently making it difficult to do much with the wedding like premartial counseling. The wedding is in June and so we are trying to get things done before my class starts but that's proving to be very hard because of his schedule. We are both involved with our seperate churchs and he's part time seminary student (though it might as well be full time with the work load he has). I'm kicking myself for us not getting the premartial counseling done sooner esp. since it might interfere with our Epics. I am just feeling very overwhelmed by all of this and I know everything leading up to then of the semester will be nuts.I know God is in control and He's working it all out for His will but I can't help but flip a little bit. Thanks in advance for reading my vent. I do feel better :)

Philippians 4:13 means more now in this time than it has before.

Sounds like you're working through it the best you can, but I'll keep you in my prayers tonight as well!  Even if you can't do as much pre-marital counseling as you originally wanted, maybe you could talk with your pastor about doing a smaller number of sessions but for a little longer, and see if you can work that into your crazy busy schedules?  I don't know your schedule by any means but it might be something to consider if you can find the time.

We are doing our pre-marital counseling on Sunday mornings at 8:30am because we couldn't find any other times that work for us and the pastor.  Our church has 3 services (8:30, 9:45 and 11:00) so the pastor we're working with just said, well, let's do the counseling sessions during the 8:30 service.
July 16, Our Wedding Day, is also International Juggling Day!

  • I agree with kelly - maybe talk to your pastor about fewer sessions.  I'm sure he/she would definitely be willing to work with you both!!

It's so hard to relax sometimes, even remembering Philippians 4:13.  Just take a deep breath and remember that in the end, you and FI will be married - and on the wedding day everything will be just fine.  :)

We are doing two sessions two hours a piece but Fi and I are also in a LDR so that makes it hard too. My dad who is the officiant picked a Christian marriage and family therapist so us to see. Since her bussiness hours vary and our schedules are completely warped that adds to it. Things are starting to wear on me emotionally and I'm taking all of it out on FI which isn't fair to him. It's a lot for me right now and I feel bad that I am putting FI through all of this. Again thank you all for reading this. I know I'm kind of pouring my heart out but it's nice to have a place to share.

We were in your boat several months ago. We requested to have less sessions - and we even did one via skype. I'm in PA, FI is in MD, and our pastor is in NY where I grew up - so it was so frustrating to coordinate getting there. I will definitely keep you in my prayers.
