Siggy?

Okay, I used this method, from Irish in the Military siggy thread:
"This is mine:

<img src="http://your pic URL here/"width="200px" "/>

Upload the pic to a public place (photobucket, TK "my photos", whatever), paste the URL into the spot above, and paste that whole dealie into your siggy, under "My knot" > "My bio" > "Update my siggy" HTH!"

I used photobucket, pasted in the URL where it says "your URL here" but it's still not visible. Does another photoshare site work better, or am I just as computer illiterate as I think?

    Also, forgive me for asking stupid questions--I'm pretty illiterate too. :) Did you paste it over the whole URL? so got rid of my whole thing, starting with http://......etc

    I just erased the "your URL here part" kept in all the other slashes and such. Trying again.

    When I was having this problem a couple of weeks ago, it was because I kept forgetting to leave the quotations in there. Before that it was because I was using the wrong link instead of the direct link.

    Ok, using tinypic. When I use the IMG code (that it says is for message boards), nothing shows up. If I try to use the HTML, the server on TK says that there's been an error and it can't process it.

    So, this is what it looks like with Irish's:

    <img src="http:///"width="200px" "/>

    And this is what it looks like with Chit-Chat's:

    <img src="" mce_src="" width="200px" />

    Irish, I could kiss you. I've actually been working at that for almost an hour. But now I have my things I am thankful for (to add text I just put it above or below that, right?)

    Ha!!! I saw the pic and posted before reading this! Heheh glad to help!! So for text, you can just type but if you want to make sure it's above or below it (instead of weird formatting) you do
    to make a "break," like pressing enter.

    I know you've got it figured out, but I just wanted to add that for Photobucket, make sure you copy the HTML code for the picture you are using and paste that right onto your siggy. That will work perfectly without having to delete or type anything else. I think you used the IMG code.

    Perfect! Ok lets seeee, forgive me if this is overly detailed.

    In the upper left of the screen right under "the knot", there is a green button called "my knot." Click that, and it will bring you to your account/planning page. On the upper right is a button called "My bio" (also, my posts, settings, etc). Click that and it will bring you to the page where you can see your countdown etc. On the top of that page is "edit my avatar & sig." Click that button and it will open up a page where you can upload pics and a box that says "edit my message board signature." So in that box is where you want to paste in  <img src="entire website URL/"width="200px"/>.

    Copy the URL of your pic that's uploaded publicly and paste it (http://www......) in where I wrote enter website URL, but make sure you keep all the quotes there. Then click save. HTH.

    Nice sig! If you want to make the picture a little bigger, just play around with the width pixels. Some of my pics need to go up or down, depending on who knows what. So 300px might not be ginormous for this one.

    Kendall: another way to do it is to click on "update signature" on the left side of this page or any page when you're on the boards. The link is under "Community Links"
