I feel bad for FI....

His BM backed out of the wedding today.  He said he couldn't afford the tux...FI told him that he is giving the BM the free tux, but he wouldn't take it. He also offered to split the free tux in half so they both only had to pay half the price for the tux...

So, I don't know if there is something else going on or what...Their relationship has been kinda rocky since '10??  FI's BM can be a little flakey & when things get rough he pushes people out and then comes back after a few weeks and things are okay...that is just how he deals (or used to deal with things)...but I thought that it had gotten better...He said that he is going to try and get a hold of him this weekend...so hopefully things will get straightened out...

It just sucks!!  FI is so bummed...

    I'm sorry LM! I hope your fiance can talk with the BM this weekend and get things straightened out. Maybe he can tell him how important it is for him to stand up with him and maybe he'll change his mind?

    That sucks I'm really sorry to hear that.  I hope he is able to get a hold of him.  Maybe since you said he is flaky if they talk this weekend they will be able to work everything out and he will agree to still be in the wedding.  I hope it all works out.

    It's a really crappy feeling when someone from the WP steps down. Even when you completely understand why. But when there's iffy stuff happening, IMO it feels even crappier. Sorry for your FI, hope things get better!

    Sorry for your FI, that sucks.  One of my FI's GM was told by his employer he couldn't have leave from Korea to come to our wedding... it's terrible when people you love won't be up there with you!

    Oof that totally stinks. It definitely seems like it's something other than the money. Does he not like attention or something? Some ppl get nervous for the speech or even just having to be in a lot of pictures and things.He is still coming to the wedding, right?

    wow, that really sucks...I can't imagine how badly that must hurt :(

    It definitely sounds like something deeper than a tux fee at this point.  This is definitely something that could ruin a friendship, so I really hope he changes his mind (and fast!) hugs to your fiance!!
