Reality check

Wow - I have been planning a wedding but I got a reality check when I was sent an invitation to the Brides Coffee during Graduation Week at West Point. The announcement said:

This is a unique opportunity for young women who are about to join the military family. Speak with representatives from Army Community Services, Relocation Services and the Chaplain's Office. When Chris was accepted 4 years ago, we sure thought the war might be over by now! Jobless, moving and visiting with the Chaplain's office - sound like fun...not!

I'm a military wife-to be also. I went through a 6 month deployment with FI that ended in late November. It was his 3rd, but our 1st together. He came home sooner than expected because he needed surgery (non-combat related injury).

I work on Fort Hood with Army families too so I am constantly surrounded by military life. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. It can be overwhelming, but military wives are (generally) very supportive of one another. Join a wives or unit organization on post.  There are also so many great resources available through Army Community Service, Chaplains, etc.
