B&M Monday

We went out to Rockwall last night to watch fireworks on the water.  We had a great time but I am so, so tired!

Re: B&M Monday

  • I have so much trouble getting to sleep at a reasonable hour in the summer.  I need to get out of bed and go running, but I'm just wiped out!

  • I'm tired too.
Copper wasn't feeling well yesterday, he slept pretty much all day. We started him on his prostate medicine yesterday and he was a little perkier this morning.

  • We cleaned and organized the house ALL weekend. Put it on the market today, let's hope it sells. We've already had it on once for 6 months. Keeping it "show ready" clean is SUPER stressful with a toddler and a lab in the mix...oh and a full time job! :)

Good luck, Tiffany!  My parents finally sold their house after a LOOOOOOONG time, so I know just how stressful that waiting game can be!

  • I'm on vacation so why do I wake up feeling icky...Probably the food I'm not used to eating. My body is telling me it needs veggies and more protein not all this darn sodium. Going to head to the waterpark today and I'm bound and determined not to get all self conscious in my bikini. Which is ridiculous because there is no reason to be self conscious.

  • First day back to TK post honeymoon. We had an incredible time! I honestly did not want to leave. Also, Spain won yesterday (yayyy). I celebrated by pulling out the good rum. :)
My B&M: I am not in Mexico. Also, Luke (furbaby) developed a bad ear infection while we were gone. Luckily MIL took him to the vet and he is on his way to feeling better.

Oh no! I guess we do take it for granted that my MIL realizes that the furkids will be her only tie to any sort of grandchild for a VERY long time.
  • Oh yeah, I B&M that Italy lost yesterday.  Badly.  =(

  • I've got nothing to B&M about. my weekend was super relaxing and I just found out we get to wear jeans tomorrow and leave an hour early!! woohoo! happy 4th of July to me! :-)

aeliza- glad you guys had a great honeymoon!!
  • I have dog-related woes today, and it's making me sad thinking about it.

So since my little Toby escaped and spent the night with the family (and little girl) down the street, he has been strangely depressed, as well as very aggressive towards our 90 lb puppy. Like biting at him, and drawing blood aggressive. All from a 20 lb rat.

H and I talked over the weekend, and we are thinking about letting his grooms-woman and her two younger kids who LOVE him adopt him. I am starting to think he need to be in a single-dog home instead of competing with 2 other dogs for the attention he deserves. It's been really hard on me even thinking about it, but he is making it clear he is upset about something, and is starting to hide whenever he isn't picking fights with the youngest. I told H that I don't want to let just anyone adopt him, and would prefer someone we are close with having him so that I can still see him when she and the kids come visit. I just can't fathom having him gone after 6 1/2 years of raising him from a puppy. I just want him to be happy though.

  • Wendi, That's terrible. I can only imagine how tough it is for you but I think you're making the right choice. His acting out will likely only get worse over time.
    It's still sad though.

  • That is so sad Wendi. But it def is the best decision for him. At least you'll know he is in a wonderful home :-)
  • Thank you!! It was on the market for 6 months before and we took it off for 3 and are now putting it back on. 6 months of living in a model home basically, it's the cleaning that i know I have to do thats stressful!! Ok, happy thought...happy thoughts!! i can do this!! haha...and sigh!

:( I know how hard this is!  Last year my dog bit my little boy in the face (my son was two and a half at the time) and showed other signs of aggressiveness, so he had to go live with my brother.  He is now very happy and the only dog in a no-kid household, but it still makes me sad.  :(  Now we have FI's dog, who is super sweet and not at all aggressive, and I have mommy guilt that he gets to stay.

My B&M is that the topic I'm studing today hurts my brain.  I'll live.  :)

In other news, Anderson Cooper came out publically.  He's so adorable lol.

  • My B&M is that I went out to lunch with my father today who gave me all the reasons I should break up with my FI and not go through with this wedding.
Reason #1- Everytime he calls I'm around my FI...so we spend too much time together
Reason #2- FI has been too invovled in the wedding planning which should have been soley planned my parents of the bride. When asked what he has planned or tried to plan the only thing he could come up with is that him and the groomsmen shouldn't be decorating the rehersal space as that is too much invasion of his ideas.
....I am making my FI and groomsmen help the poor woman that is helping my mother with decorating as she shouldn't be setting up 15 tables and placecards for 150 ppl by herself along with everything else she's going to decorate there.
And that was it...my FI isn't perfect, and he could have gone on real faults, but no those were his reasons why I should call off the wedding.

On the up side I'm getting a lot done today...which means I'm starting to pay everyone like the florist and rehersal dinner and dj. I'm so glad this isn't my money. I'm having enough money problems as it is.

  • I am so sad for all of you ladies with doggie woes! It has been almost a year since we had to send my pup (which was my wedding gift from J) to live with a family with little girls and a yard. It is never easy to do but if it is better for them in the long run, that is what really matters.
