Here are my save the dates

I made these from a template on weddingchicks.com. I think they turned out pretty good - our wedding theme is vintage, so I think these fit. Now just need to have them printed for cheap. I guess I could print them at home. Can you buy postcard paper in this size pre-cut? If so, where? Would like something that has a vintage look.

  • To my knowledge you would have to use regular car stock and format it to where there is four to a page making sure that when you do doublesided the back of the postcards line up. We make our own postcards at the nonprofit I work for as my 2nd job and this is what we do.

Very pretty.  Not sure about postcard paper, but I know I have stacks of scrapbook paper, about the size of a postcard. You might be able to find white and use that. I'm not really sure.  Just remember, if you are going to print at home, you'll probably use a lot more ink then you think.  Think about how crisp you'll want the image and how long it'll take to print out.  I've seen that a lot of the DIY board. Ink gets very expensive. Not trying to discourage you though!

  • If you get discouraged doing the DIY route, you can upload images to Vistaprint and have them print them for you.  That was my original plan before I found the perfect suite they offered that matched what we wanted.

  • If you're still looking for paper suggestions I have a couple- art and craft stores will have the precut 4"x6" postcard size.  At least at the big national chain craft stores.  Also try office supply stores for photo paper in that size- they sould have both gloss and matte photo papers.  Or as suggested earlier, try VistaPrint or another printing service.
