Hello,
Does anyone know of any good areas in the New Haven area for engagement sessions? We will probably get them done in April or May.

    My friends took photos around Quinnipiac's new campus (on that big hill) that were really cool. I also think downtown New Haven looks awesome if you like the brick alley / edgy look. Or try Gouevia Vineyards in Wallingford. That is where I got engaged... it is gorgeous. For a really different type of location, you could try the sand/rock mill on Sackett Point Road in North Haven. I have seen some really cool photos taken there.

    Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven is really nice if you want a beachy feel, or just downtown near Yale would make for some awesome photos--gorgeous buildings, and you could easily pop into a coffee shop or grab a bite to eat or something during the shoot, which makes for cute photos.

    It was raining the day of ours (and I wanted to just get them done, so we had a rain plan and a sun plan), so we went to Union Station and did some really fun interior train station shots. Then the rain let up, and we went to a park and bar.

    If you want to do the train station, just try to contact the station in advance. They'll likely tell you it's okay (you just can't set up lights and such) but it's nice to give a heads up!

    Yales campus is also really beautiful.

    I did mine at Twin Brooks Park in Trumbull. They came out amazing! There are so many different backgrounds-they have an old wooden bridge, a stone bridge, a beach area. It was perfect!

    We did ours at Gouevia Vineyards in Wallingford and took our wedding photos at QU's new campus (Anthem) in North Haven. I'd recommend both. Have fun!

    I second the Gouevia Vineyards in Wallingford. We are going there in a few weeks to do ours and it is simply gorgeous and allows for different types of back drops for the photos. Plus wine tasting is only like $6!

    Like a PP said, twin brooks in trumbull is beautiful. Right near the park there is the Pequonnock River Valley trail... it stretches for miles but it beautiful with tons of trees.
