I am trying to decide if I should wear natural lip gloss, or lipstick with a red tint on my wedding day.  I want my lips to stand out a little in pictures.  
Which direction are you girls going in????

    I had my makeup done the day of, and I'm honestly not sure what she used on me.  I think it was a tinted gloss.  I didn't have anything to touch up with, I think I put on chapstick at some point (I always keep a tube of softlips with me)

    I'm not a fan of red lipstick, perhaps its because I've not frequently seen it done well.  If you do it regularly and know your coloring can pull it off then go for it.  But because I never wear anything on my lips I'd go for nothing or a more natural color, personally.

    Some people can pull off red lipstick, some it just doesn't look good.  I'm in the 2nd group.  I will have color, just not red.  So my vote is for "other".

    I gave you a red vote - but my question is do you normaly wear lipsstick???

    I hardly wear any makeup so if i get all "dolled up" my man playfully teases me
    but if you normally do going red would be fun - i did do that from my prom with a red dress - 19 years later i think i will have a pale pink and focus on my eyes Wink

    I go back and forth between red lipstick and natural lipstick (always with a gloss over it).  I was more or less looking for opinions of which other brides thought looked best.  My mother says it will "cheapen" the photos.  Maybe I will wear natural for the ceremony and then switch to red for the reception.

    if youre thinking red because it will go with the overall look you are going for, like pinup/rockabilly/etc, i think you should go for it. there are samplers of different red lipstick shades you can buy so you can find the best red for your skintone.

    if you are thinking red because you want them to stand out, i agree with a PP that maybe red wouldnt be best, especially if you dont usually wear it. you could do a peach or pink or something that isnt as stark as red.

    i think you should go for something though, definitely not "nothing"!
