Raleigh magistrate???`

Hi, we're trying to find a magistrate to officiate our very small private wedding at our private venue, not at the courthouse.  The courthouse is telling us that the magistrates won't do this, but others are telling us that they will travel to outside venues.  Has anyone in NC done this?  Can you give me names/ideas?  What am I doing wrong?

    It's up to the individual magistrate to decide if they're willing to travel to a ceremony location to perform the services.  As a rule, they don't generally do this, which is why the courthouse is telling you that. 

    You could contact the magistrates directly, or look for an unaffiliated minister to perform the ceremony.  Remember that NC does not recognize internet ordainments.

    From my understanding magistrates stay at the courthouse.  I found somebody who was ordained that I was comfortable with.  Good luck!
