And such an awful use of bear grass too. My DD had bear grass on the WP bouquets, and it was beautifully done. That's just horrible!
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
I think the orange and purple flowers would actually be acceptable if the dress didn't have RED on it...and she should have skipped the bear grass "cage" on the bouquet...

Now I know most people are saying "Oh, the orange wouldn't be so bad if the dress didn't have red on it". Not me. 90% of the time, when I see orange flowers, I want to scream.
Maybe it's just me having 'Nam flashbacks of my BSC friend's wedding, but large quantities of orange just should not be allowed ... maybe if there was no red, and the purple to orange ratio was switched, I could live ... but this just "makes me feel sorry for her DH", lol.

CT, this is weird, for all of my hatred of orange and orange flowers, I actually love orange roses.
I mean, as far as a wedding flower goes, it totally depends on the color scheme (And like, what color the dresses are)-which is my take on orange flowers in wedding to begin with ... but take "wedding" out of the equation, and I love orange roses.
When DH and I first started dating, he used to give me different flowers because "any guy can buy any girl red roses". So he'd give me different types of flowers, or just "unique" colored roses. One of my favorites was a dozen gorgeous orange roses ... I raved about them for weeks, lol.

Oh, I love different colored roses...red is common (and lovely no doubt) but give me something unusual - orange or those gorgeous pinks that are all different shades - the ones that range from soft pink to bright, sort of fuscia colored all in one bouquet - gorgeous!

This. The grass is NMS, but the flower colors aren't bad. Paired with the red, though, it is not a good look.
Ick. I'm not real big on orange flowers to begin with....certainly not paired with a red band on the bridesmaid's dress. I wonder if there was an issue with the florist or flower availability. Icky.
