I just told my best friend. Fiance asked his sister and I texted my cousin to ask her because we don't see each other much.

Nothing special like I had planned but it works.

I have 6 bridesmaids. When I asked them, I gave them a little 4 pack of wine with a note on it that said "I feel you are going to need a drink soon." On each of the bottles I gave the reason why they would need a drink 1. Trying on a bmaid dress 2. Planning a bridal shower 3. Attending Bachelorette Party 4. THE BIG DAY 9.14.13. I put that in a bag wtih a pocket planner so they can write down important wedding related dates. And I gave them a card that says "Say Yes to The Dress" with each of their names on them.

My MOH is my twin sister. My Bmaids are my older sister, my grade school friend, my college friend, FI sister, FI step sister.

2 for me! FI is having 3 guys; the original plan was 3/3 but it didn't work out that way and I'm A-OK with it.

MOH is FI's only sister, and my best friend since I was 16. We've introduced each other as sisters forever, though it's obvious (looks wise) that we're not lol. BM is FI's sister-in-law. MOH, BM and I have been a "trio" for so long we don't really remember not being together, and they were my natural first choices.

I didn't do anything cutesy to ask them, though I'd thought about it. I quietly told -not asked, now that I think back- MOH that she had her position at our annual family New Years party. BM and I were having beers on my back deck a couple of months later when I asked her.

We're only doing one each. My MOH is my absolute best friend. And his BM is his best friend from childhood. We agreed early on we wanted to keep the bridal party small and intimate.

Right now we have 6 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen, a flower girl, and a ring bearer picked out. We haven't asked them all yet. I have a thing about asking in person. Our bridesmaids and groomsmen are all friends and cousins. People that we grew up with and love! Our flower girl is my fiances niece and our ring bearer is my little cousin.

6/6 for us!

I asked my sister, and my five close friends. One is like a sister and the other four I couldn't imagine not having standing next to me that day.

FI asked his brother and his five closest friends, basically the guys he lived with in college. It just happened to work out that the sides were even.

We're also having my baby cousin as our flowergirl. She was a baby when FI and I met and she was the first (and so far only) baby he's ever held. She's grown up with our relationship so we wanted to include her (and she's really cute and will totally love being the center of attention!).

1 - Matron of honor, one of my sisters who i'm the closet too.
1 - Maid of honor, FI's sister aka my bestie for ever
2 - bridesmaids, two of my other sisters
2 - junior bridesmaids, my older nieces
3 - flower girls, my 3 younger nieces

him, so far...
3 - best men, his 3 best friends
1 - junior groomsman, one of my nephews
3 - ring bearers, my three younger nephews

he is going to also ask his brother (who will decline), one of my brother in laws, and my other two nephews.

Phew. We are crazy.

My maid of honor is my FH sister (she is amazing)

2 bridesmaids they have been my best friends forever

1 flower girl- FH cousin she is so cute I asked her and she said can I wear a flower ring since I'll be the flower girl!

We asked them each seperatly FH sister lives in boston for school so she wasn't there the day we got engaged and when I asked her she got sooo excited and then was like Ooooo...I get to plan the bachelorette party...My best friends knew already but I still asked them and we watched the movie Bridesmaids. I wish I did the whole card thing or something cute!

My moh is my best friend, we worked together and then had babies around the same time so we were on mat leave together and became inseparable

Bms are my two best friends from school. We have been friends since middle school:)

Best man is my brother, fh and him are best friends.

Gm 1 is fhs cousin

And gm2 is our best friend from highschool

Our two daughters will be flower girls of course

Right now we have 3/3.
My matron of honor is my older sister... I didn't even ask her it was just kind of understood.
My one bridesmaid is my cousin. She turns 21 this year and I used to baby sit her but we have gotten kind of close even though I am 400 miles away. I see to be the one she asks all her guy questions and birth control and all that. I called her and asked her a few weeks ago... She is thrilled.. And super excited

My other BM is one of my best girlfriends since high school. I asked her over the phone too as I actually forgot when I went to see her brand new baby ...

I don't have very many girlfriends so it took me awhile to decide who I wanted there may another girl added if FI decides he wants one ...

FI side is his brother is his best man, my brother is a groomsman and one of his friends from high school is a grooms man if he every actually asks him.

I actually think he has at least one more guy he wants to ask so we may have uneven sides which I think I am finally okay with.

We have 8. MOH is my sister that I'm closest to. BM 1 is FI's sister that we're closest to. BM 2 is one of my closest friends. We've worked together for years. Flower girl is our daughter. BM is FI's brother that he's closest to. GM 1 is BM 1's fiancé. GM 2 is BM 2's girlfriend. Ring bearer is our son. Not everyone's been officially asked but those who know, we just asked in person and of course they were excited.

My MOH is my little sister and my other maid is a really good friend of mine from high school. And I asked them awhile back (but I just asked them, I didn't do anything cutesy.) He actually hasn't picked his yet. Since all his guys have to do is get fitted for a tux and stand there without scratching or picking their noses I'm not getting onto him yet.

So I have 7 bridesmaids and my fiance has 7 groomsmen and then there's a flower girl (fiance's little sister) and a ring bearer (our nephew who will be 2). I know I have a lot of bridesmaids.. people always tell me I'll regret it, but I roll with it. These are girls I have been friends with for over a decade and then two are family (my sister is the MOH and his older sister is a bridesmaid).

Anyway this is how I asked my girls:

In my bridal party is my Maid of Honor/ Best Friend and 1 Bridesmaid in the form of my younger sister.

Of course my sister is special to me. She is my only sibling and just over 8 years younger than I, we have always been close. My maid of honor and I have always lived 2 doors away from each other, danced together as youngsters, and graduated together. My fiance and her BF even share interests and ride quads and dirtbikes together.

To ask my MOH, we were supposed to get together on new years eve and I got her a bouquet of flowers (in our wedding colors) and made a pretty sign asking her. As for my sister... it was always just assumed. The only reason she isn't my MOH is that she is 13 and I didn't want her to feel obligagted to any of the traditional MOH "responsibilities".

6 bm's and 6 gmen 1 rb my son 2 fg's I have three best friends but my MOH is my girl J. We've been friends for the shortest but have been through A LOT, together. My cousin, my niece and FI's cousin. Rounds out the rest of the party.

Looks like I have the most so far! Haha I have 8 girls - 2 best friends of over 15 yrs. are my MOHs My 2 sisters, his close cousin, our SIL, and 2 of my close close friends. He has 9 guys - his brother is best man, my brother, and the same 7 guys he has been friends with since they were kids. I know its a lot but they're our favorite people in the world. I didn't do anything cute to ask them, I was too excited and asked them the same day I got engaged! He did his own little thing.

We are each having two. I learned the last time around it is MUCH easier to deal with a small amount of people! It will be my best friends/FI sister. He will have his brother in law/ and my brother. We will also have our lil one.

My MOH and bridesmaids (2) are all out of state, so I just called them to tell them. My MOH is my sis; she lives in L.A. but we are best friends, we can finish each others' sentences and talk on the phone several times a week. She's been there for me through many ups and downs. My bridesmaids are two long-time friends I met while I was waitressing my way through college. They are both like sisters to me. We've been friends for 20 years!

His best man is his best friend, who is a former neighbor; his groomsmen are his younger brother and his uncle. His uncle is only a few years older than him and they actually grew up living very close to each other, so he's more like a bro to my fiance.

Our bridal party has changed in the past couple years. I made the mistake of telling people their positions too early (2 years ago). Since then I had a falling out with my original MOH (she slept with my brother and many friends). I no longer speak to her and shortly after that I reconciled my friendship with my best friend from high school so she is now my MOH.

May 20, 2012 we lost our best man and his younger brother in a horrible car crash. We have decided to not replace him and instead put a candle where he would've stood.

So our current bridal party consists of:

MOH- My Best Friend (will walk alone)........ Best Man- FI's Best Friend (candle)

BM- My Sister......... GM- My Brother

BM- Our Friend......... GM- Our Friend

BM- Our Friend........ GM- Our Friend

Jr. BM- FI's Niece

FG & RB- FI's Niece & Nephew (have not told parents yet, waiting to see if we get preganant first.)
