What are you up to?

FI is coming to visit!!  And only 1 more week of this ridiculous internship and then he's home.  I hate LD -- we argue a lot more and that is the last thing I need right now.  Frown

Not really sure what we're doing yet; hopefully it'll be nice and we can go swimming one day!  We might go to church; he always complains about going, but I told him we had to go either this weekend or the next one because we can't go the rest of August and the minister is our officiant!  Gotta look good.

Also will be dropping our rings to be engraved!  Yay!

    Tonight not really much. Tomorrow night we are headed to the Utica Zoo Brewfest...after this week a beer sounds pretty good!  Sunday is girls day with some friends at the beach...cause I need some color!!

    I am working til 10pm tonight... got here at 8:30... joyyyy. After that, I am heading DIRECTLY to Chuck's. Tomorrow we are going to Sears to have... drumroll, please... our first official engagement picture taken! There is a coupon on Sears' website right now for a free fancy-looking portrait, no session fee, no purchase require, no strings attached, plus a coupon for 60% off coupon other services so if we like how this turns out, we may purchase a CD with the picture on it and use that for our STDs. Worst case scenario, we have the picture and lose nothing because it's free. I'm excited!

    Oooh man... tonight is Brew at the Zoo in Syracuse and I am SOOOOosoooooSOOOO sad that I'm not going.  Hubby has another double header tonight, so being the lovely #1 fan of a wife that I am... that is where I will be. 

    Tomorrow... well... the FFF post said it all.  Working.  yuck.  After work just hanging with the hubby, grilling out, relaxing.

    Sunday... sleeping in, doing some shopping and getting ready for the G2G.  Yay!

    This weekend is Park Ave Fest in Rochester! My friend has a annual rooftop BBQ right on Park Ave. I'm crossing my fingers for no rain!

    Tomorrow my brother is taking the Amtrak train from Syracuse to Worcester.  He's spending the next week with FI and I.  It's suppose to rain sunday, so not sure what we're doing yet.  Pretty excited to have company over!

    AHHH so jealous! That was my second home approx. 4 nights a week in college.     We are packing!  We leave for NY pretty soon so we've got to get everything ready.  I can't believe how quickly the wedding is sneaking up on us!  Good thing we're pretty much ready.

    I have an appointment for a consultation to get some .. umm .. "work done" ;) tomorrow while FI is at work. Have to go shopping to get some things for RD. We have a dance lesson, and then probably just hang out/grill/have a few drinks.

    Sunday is our RD--- I know, unusual because it's 12 days before the wedding, and on a Sunday! Everyone was like huh??? But there's always a reason why I do things!! Hope everyone enjoys there weekend!!

    I actually love the idea of doing the RD earlier.  Wish I would have thought of it... except about 3/4 of our BP were from OOT.... but seriously... I would have been waaay less stressed.  Sounds like a smart move.

    Also, where are you taking dance lessons?  We went to Arthur Murray and Kev actually loved it b/c it meant he got Dino BBQ after.  lol. Oh.. and Tristan was "fabulous"!!   One piece of advice (I learned the hard way)... make sure you can move backwards in your dress.  My train, when bustled, grazed the floor and I stumbled around like an idiot trying to do our super awesome fancy moves.  About a minute into the song, we reverted to the good old seventh grade shuffle.  I was soooo bummed after all those lessons (and hubby was less than happy)

    ummm... Alyssa you forgot to mention we were having dinner and shopping tonight! Which was super fun, and I am exhausted now!
    Tomorrow I am also hoping to check out Park Ave fest (it's like, literally two miles from my house), but if it rains, I'll try to clean house.
    I need to email our DJ with our final song selections, and arrange to make a few cash payments to vendors, and that's a wrap!

    This weekend is almost entirely devoted to my sisters bridal shower Sunday. Ive gotta run all over today and make sure shes got the sash and her BMs have their pins (or something of that sort) and then get my games and their prizes in order. Wrap my gift for her.

    I was talking to my pizza guy (small town shop where I was engaged) and he has 2 daughters who have gotten/are getting married this year and he made my day yesterday. He says to me "My daughters are each others MOH and OMG! Im always complaining about how expensive their wedding is for me, and when I was in weddings Id complain about the money I had to spend, but to be a girl in a friends wedding...you guys spend so-o much money! The dress, shoes, hair, nail, makeup, gifts, bridal shower, bach party. WOW! Ill never complain again. Im in shock" It was good to hear a guy acknowledge what we go through financially just to be in a wedding that isnt our own. I dont even want to think of what Ive spent on my sister so far. I dont have the $$, but shes my sister and Im going to do what I have to to make sure everything is perfect for her. Small side story sorry :)

    A girl I used to cheer with has been taking/teaching dance since she was like 3. She comes to our house about once a week to teach us! I actually can't really move AT ALL in my wedding dress lol I ordered a dance dress from ebay, got it yesterday, tried our dance in it, and almost face planted into the hardwood floors! Sooo, now it's at the seemstress! I'm ONLY changing into it for the dance, then putting my wedding dress back on! ....

    but, we are slow dancing to our song for about 1:19, then it goes into a mix including Boom Boom Pow, Sexy Back, and FI even has a solo to Can't Touch This (there's more). He used to play football, wrestle, do body building competitions... I can't believe I got him to do this lol
