Flowers: Katie Elfers vs. Kroger vs. Affordable Wedding Creations

I've heard many comments that Katie Elfers and Affordable Wedding Creations are just as afforable as ordering flowers from the Hyde Park Kroger.  What price range are were referring to here?  For anyone who has used these vendors... could you post your flower price range and how much this bought you (bouquets, corsages, centerpieces, etc.)?

Anyone else care to share their budget ranges for affordable florists and what you ordered?

I found Susan The Wedding Designer and Sherwood Florist in Kettering to be excellent budget choices. They definitely gave me so much for my money, I don't even know how they can make a profit for the amount of work they do.

I chose Susan The Wedding Designer because she e-mailed me a personal Picasa album composed of her ideas after we talked, constantly send me ideas via e-mail, and even came to my house for a consultation. And she got my vision down so well!

If you send me your e-mail, I can give you an invoice breakdown.

I met with kroger and katie elfers...in the end they were about $50 off.  I had 3 BM bouquets, my bouquet, 2 flower girl pomanders, around 6 corsages, 6 boutonnieres, and a giant bag of rose petals to use for our centerpieces.  I paid about $550 in the end from kroger. Katie Elfers would have been around $600...I should have gone with her because my flowers did not hold up very well and I was pretty disappointed. My bouquet had roses, stephanotis (very expensive but I had to have them), and mini calla lillies.  The flower girl/BM were hydrangeas with roses mixed in. Hope that helps!

We used the Secret Garden in NKY.  I had 7 BM bouquets of roses and alstromeria, my bouquet of roses, alstromeria and calla lillies, about 25 single spider mums for the tables (had a flower floating in a bowl on each table), 2 mother corsages and 1 bout.  We paid around $360 (including delivery).  The flowers looked great and held up well all day.  The place looks kind of sketchy from the outside, but they do a really great job for a truly affordable price, IMO.  Here is info:

Awesome info ladies, I'm also looking for affordable flowers.  I really appreciate the specific cost info.  It's always hard to tell what "affordable" is to others and you all are in the right ballpark for me!
