What is/was on your registry?

We are going Monday to register. We are getting china from my mom and already have a lot of our own things. I was thinking nice pots and pans, knives, towels, bedding, and everyday dishes.
What is on yours that I might I want to addWink?

the good brand of things. things you would want but never buy for yourself (like the more expensive brands). we have everything we need (and more) because we have lived together for 2 years so i put a better vaccuum, new comforter and sheet set, and i even put 2 bikes (his and hers). i would always use mine and i'd make FI use his whether he liked it or not. i know i wont have the money to buy them for myself so i just added them! why not??

i don't see why you couldn't add things like cooking lessons either. i don't know where you could put this on a registry but i imagine you could do it somehow.

I was in the same boat.  I already have my grandmothers china AND FI and I bought a house last year so we have alot of thing already.

But like MrsCabral said, UPGRADE!  Our vaccum is a p.o.s. so I added that (someone bought it last night actually!), same with a toaster oven and coffee maker.

Also added frames and different vases for decorations from Crate and Barrell.  Im kinda particular when it comes what I like and don't like, so I hope I don't get too many "surprises" off the registry, when it comes to decorations like that.

I added a lot of servewear as well, things I may not use everyday, but would need when hosting a dinner party.

I'm in the same boat. We have been living together for a few years now, and have a pretty full house. We did register for a few finer things (better pots, pans, stand-up mixer, etc) but we also created a Honeymoon Registry. I know some people don't think honeymoon registries are a good idea, but we're excited about it. And our family & friends have been very supportive! We've heard multiple times how excited others are to learn more about the Italy adventure we are planning.

I'm not trying to re-start the Honeymoon Registry debate, I just wanted to say there's another option.

FI and I have lived on our own separately for many years, and recently moved in together.  Like many others, we decided to register for new versions of old things we've had for a long time, like new pots and pans, china, everyday dishes, kitchen and bath linens, and throw blankets.  We also registered for a few things we've always wanted but never wanted to buy for ourselves (like the Margaritaville frozen drink maker and a digital camcorder).  We also did a honeymoon registry, which our guests are SO excited about.  So many people have told us what a great idea they think it is.

Maybe it's a Florida thing, but I have heard great things about the honeymoon registries too in our parts! However, if you were go to the Registering or Honeymoon boards here on The Knot and you would hear some brutal comments about it...

I registered for a sweet coffee maker, a nice mixer, linens that I would never buy myself, nice pillows, and even some art work from Bed, Bath and Beyond. I figured, why not?! And, I might have added a little something for our dogs on our registry... I hope I won't offend anyone, but some of the stuff was just too cute. :)
