lingerie

Does anyone have suggestions for a good place to get some sexy lingerie to wear after the wedding gown comes off?

I would say Victoria secret or Fredericks of Hollywood. Fredericks of Hollywood is way cheaper is cost.

I'm definitely more a fan of Victoria's than I am of Frederick's.  Everything that I've ever bought from Frederick's has seemed a little cheaply-made, or of sort of cheap-seeming fabrics.  But that's just MO.

I also am typically more a fan of VS, but just want something extra special.

I do feel like the average person's choices are restricted to the selection at VS and FoH.  Unless you want to spend hundreds for a chemise at Bloomingdale's or something.  There has to be some local boutique with affordable, interesting lingerie out there.  I don't know that I'd want to go on my own, but I'd at least like to know if anyone knows of an option.

That's exactly what I was thinking and hoping to find.  I like the way you think!

I second the previous post on giving Lover's Lane a try. They have a pretty wide selection and a nice assortment of sizes. The sales people there are always helpful too. (Although, the first time I went in by myself I was a little embarassed talking to a stranger about what I was looking for!)
I think there is a small shop on Liberty over by the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor that sells intimates too, but it may have gone out of business, so I'll check next time I'm walking by.

[QUOTE]There is a new store at Somerset - intimates something or other. I don't remember the name. There is also Harps in downtown Bham. FI always goes "whoa" when we walk by the window. It is a little pricier, but definitely not as expensive as La Perla. Im also a VS fan and plan on getting something from the sexy little bride line (not usually in the stores, only online). But I will say that I always have good luck at Lovers Lane. They have some wedding-themed lingerie that I plan on getting for the HM. Ok - I'm blushing now.

FYI - I know VS at 12 oaks carries Sexy Little Bride line (at least some).

On this topic, does anyone know where to get sexy lingerie smaller than a 34B?? And I'm not just talking bra and undies/garter sexy. I'd actually like something cuter than that, but have never been able to since I'm less endowed than most.

oh, and VS outlet at Great Lakes Crossing always has cute stuff, often for VERY cheap... ie corset with garters type things for like 2 for $15, I also got a strapless low back bra there for $10 normally $78, its kind of hit or miss on what they'll have but for the price you can't beat it.
NWR - their undies are always right around $2 a pair.

You know, I'm really glad you guys mentioned LL.  The only ones that I know of are in really...non-desirable areas of town, and I kinda assumed they'd be pretty trashy (judge-ey, I know.  Bad me.).  I'm glad to hear that you've had good experiences.  I'll have to try them out.  And maybe some of the others, too....  I have such guilt buying lingerie; it seems so frivolous.  But I do so love that googly thing it does to FI's eyes.  :D

I've actually had very good experiences at the LL in Ypsi.  Very helpful sales girls.  I hadn't even thought about them for sexy bridal lingerie

Have you tried Noir Leather in Royal Oak?  I know they have a lot of lingerie and all kinds of toys, outfits, etc.  It's just off of Main St....but I can't remember what street it is on.

    For those talking about Vicki's..
VS at Great Lakes is an outlet, so it's all cheap.
VS at Somerset Mall has Sexy Little Bride schtuff.

    Have fun shopping! [:

I strongly suggest trying online shopping. i'm plus size and there are never much items in stores, but a TON of online shopping sites.
Obviously for a smaller girl, there are more in-store shopping, but i still find better deals/choices online.
