Yes!! I think I'm going to get FI a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo or Gucci shoes - he's wanted a nice pair for a while now and thought it would be perfect to get for him to wear on the wedding day!
He's SO hard to buy for though so I'm still thinking it through. Other than that I had no clue... unless I go for a nice watch for him, but he has quite a few watches.
FI is really hard to buy for, so I've been thinking about this already. I'm know I'm definitely doing b-pics. I'm thinking about Penn State tickets and a weekend in State College as well.

Posted by dbpsu18[/QUOTE] This is what I'm thinking about doing. We don't really have any extra money. To be honest, I would just like a really memorable card, and then a nice pair of costume earrings that don't cost a lot. I originally wanted diamond earrings, but I think I'd prefer to have those for our one-year anniversary or something. I'm going to talk to FI about skipping gifts and maybe just tacking some days onto the honeymoon. :)
RT + JB The only item I will not compromise on...my bouquet of all purple tulips wrapped in a swatch from my Mom's wedding dress.
My plan is to buy him a new truck and do the "sweet 16" surprise when we exit for the night. He needs a new one and works sooo hard. I just hope I can pull it off.
lily - wow that is an amazing gift! Sounds like a great surprise
I am really liking the something special on the honeymoon idea. Personally, we were thinking no gifts and just writing each other a letter to read pre-wedding. But the honeymoon thing sounds perfect.
I started collecting all the momentos from my FI and my relationship when we first started talking. I had always planned that if we got married, I would put everthing together in a scrapbook that told our story. From baseball tickets, our first movie ticket from our first date, pictures, invitations to parties, it will al be in there. I even have the first text messages we started to send each other. I'm going to put all the texts together and our emails we exchanged when he was working in England at the beginning of the scrapbook, as they really document the start of our relationship.
I know it's cheesey, but it is something that we will have forever. And we have a lot of pictures from our travels that he loves and hasn't had developed. I will probably buy him something else, but anything else I get him I know will be secondary as the scrapbook would mean more to him.
