Any married ladies repackage Garretts?

I am wedding obcessed this week sorry! It was spring break so no work=wedding planning. We were planning on using a gift service to do favor bags but are trying to figure out if we can make it happen at a lower price. We are thinking colored paper bags with Garretts, a box of lemonheads, Cubs M&M's and Bears jelly beans (just orange and blue).

Just wondering if any ladies got Garretts in bilk and repacaged it. How much did you buy per guest? How did you repackage? Where'd you get bags?

I haven't done this but you and I have a lot of the same ideas. Love the bears jelly beans and cubs M&M's, though we will need something White Sox as well.

I'm doing something similar but not with Garretts...we are having a popcorn buffet (getting popcorn from Momandpopcorn.com) and am packaging up some of the Chicago Mix flavor in cellophane bags as "to-go" bags. I got these bags at Michaels for like $3 for a pack of 25 I want to say. We are budgeting 3 cups per person for the buffet (7 cups is a small popcorn at the movie theater).
    HTH!

I'm doing this with Garrett's.  I got the bags at Jo Ann Fabrics, they are cellophane.  I am just going to buy the biggest tin they have - 6.5 Gallon and see if that is enough (I am having 250-300 guests).....and if not, just buy the rest at the last minute!

I found cute packing pretty cheap on http://www.nashvillewraps.com which is also where I wanted to order my truffle boxes from so that works out awesome.  I put my favs up in my bio http://andtheytietheknot.weebly.com/favors.html

We actually were looking last night and are going to order Bears M&M's instead of the Cubs. I quoted a bunch of sites that actually sell them and the M&M's site is the cheapest. You can get 5 lbs for $118.99. It seems like a lot but if you think about how much you'd spend buying 5 lbs of regular m&m's at the store...not too bad.

We are going to just buy the jelly beans in bulk 10 lbs packs from Jelly Belly. We looked at the flavors and thought the blue and red beans vs blue and orange might be more consumer friendly. So we're going to order 10lbs of very cherry and 10 lbs of berry blue. 10 lbs on the Jelly Belly site is $81.

I figured my budget out using 20 lbs of M&M's, 20 lbs of Jelly Beans, 4 of the largest size Garrett's Tubs and then the lemonheads are pre boxed so just a box per guest.

I'm worried I'm getting too much of some items and not enough of others though. I keep trying to convert everything to units I could relate to and it wasn't working well!

I did it for my OOT boxes. I didn't get the tin- I just got 3 of the largest bags you can get at the store. I think I was able to get about 10 bags worth per bag (but that was enough for 2 people since we did one box per room). I ordered these cellophane bags from Nashville wraps

    http://www.nashvillewraps.com/cellophane-bags/cellophane-bag/sku-hbc54m.html

and then made my own stickers with the Garretts logo. It was a little bit of work but it was way cheaper than the pre-packaged bags. Also- they tell you at Garrett's that the freshness only lasts for 2 days. I did mine on a Monday night and it was still as good on Friday so don't worry about doing it earlier in the week.

@mandybear stuffed her own bags w/Garretts--I just saw she wrote that on her vendor reviews. Try paging her, or maybe her email is on her bio?

I wanted to have Garretts as part of our wedding favor but my FI nixed it because he was worried someone would get their cheese fingers on my dress! I think the Cubs M&Ms are great-I am stealing that idea!!

I've purchased Garrett's for a large event (not wedding related), and we picked it up from their warehouse.  It came in a huuuuuge bag, so it was great for repackaging with our own pint-sized treat bags.

They were fast, efficient and it was relatively cheap (not sure the cost-- it's been awhile).
