Budget Outdoor Wedding Venue

Hi,

I am looking for an outdoor venue around the Orlando area for a casual, picnic style ceremony and reception. The challenge--I have a tiny budget and a huge guest list. I need somewhere that can accomodate 200-250 guests.

Any ideas??

Re: Budget Outdoor Wedding Venue

  • We looked at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake. They have several large pavillions with huge bbq grills and were cheap. Here's the rental schedule: http://www.cityoforlando.net/fpr/Html/PDFs/BFP_rental.pdf It would definitely be low key church picnic type atmosphere though.
  • Thanks! Did the pavilions already have picnic tables or would you have had to rent tables and chairs?
  • They all have tables. I don't think they have enough to actually fit the listed capacity. They may have more that they could move in if necessary.  I have a few pictures that we took, but here is one of the largest pavillion, which is the one that's sort of secluded.

The rental for this area included the big pavillion and I think 2 smaller areas (you can see the gazebo through it) with an open space in the middle which might be ok for a ceremony.

If not, there are some spots on the lake that would be good too. I think it would be worth checking out for your situation. If I can help any more, let me know.
  • Thanks! Do you know if they allow alcohol at the park (with a licensed caterer)?
