Reception Venues for 100 people or under

Anyone have any ideas of venues? I want places that aren't going to totally kill the budget either.

I'm having my reception at Little Turtle Golf Club. The banquet room is beautiful with large glass windows overlooking a deck, and white lights already twisted on the beams on the ceiling. I think their advertised max is 200, but honestly I think that would be a tight fit because it isn't a huge space. We were orginally planning for 125, now inviting 140.... so it the space should work for us. I think it would still be good for 100 though as well. I'm not sure what your budget is, but I encourage you to check it out! The activities coordinator there is awesome (which was a big deal to me because we're planning from Virginia).... good luck! :)

I've been to both of those, but they do seem very small. If you are close to 100 guests, I don't think they would fit very well. Don't get me wrong, they are both very beautiful. The Worthington Inn has a pretty small dance floor, but if that's not a problem, I would say go for it. The Graystone Wine Cellar is gorgeous, but it is set up awkwardly for a reception and it smells kinda funky, which makes sense since it is a basement.

oh interesting. i had no idea. these are good notes. perhaps OP should look for small ballrooms.
op - have you checked out the venue at smith brothers and the athanaeum?

I haven't looked at Smith Brothers but I have looked at Athenaeum.  I also just found North Bank through here but don't know to much about it.

You should check out the capital club. It's a great and intimate space. Located downtown, has an outdoor patio upstairs great for the evening.

The Kelton House, the Athletic Club, Columbus Museum of Art, CAPA's theater/ballroom spaces are a few others. I'm not 100% on pricing (went to wedding at the Athletic Club and the bride said it was pretty reasonable), but I know all these venues have spaces that are great for 100 or so people. I would also pick up a Columbus Bride magazine, look at the reception guide, and see which venues hold around 100 people and call around/take a look at some places.
