Michael's DIY Invitations

Has anyone used these?

My mom is pushing me to try and do our invitations myself (like I don't already have a lot on my plate). I was looking online at their designs but none really blow me away, I might have to go see in person. I was just wondering if anyone has tried these or if they used a different DIY invitation kit / program. Also, how easy or hard was it to do your own invitations??

Thanks girls!!
Happy Friday!!

I bought a few boxes when they were on sale but I wound up returning them. They didn't thrill me and I wanted my invites to be a bit more special.

That said, if you're feeling super DIY, you can totally dress up the Michaels invites. You could add a pocket folder, bellyband, etc.

From what I remember, the invites did come with directions for printing which seemed simple enough but personally, I was too nervous to print them myself!

If you have the time and like the price, go for it. But, if you aren't crazy about any of them, check out different invites. If you're looking for budget friendly invites try 123print or Vistaprint!

I DIY my set from Michaels...it cost me 25 for 150 invites so I was beyond happy. But my invites aren't super fancy,....see a pic in my bio....but let me also add I did not care about my invites....all they needed to have was the date and time etc....I personally felt like 300+ was a waste since most ppl do not keep them.  If invites are super expensice you can look into Designs by Sarah....she designs them and you print them yourself using Vista print or any other printing service

I second 123print.com! Thats where I ordered my invites from and they came out great. I didn't have to print them myself, they just show up all ready to go. They are good quality and have awesome prices.

I'm using michaels invites and using creative fonts and our monogram to spruce em up. I suggest looking into DeeMBee for printing. You will still save a lot of money buying the invite suites with Michaels and then having them printed with her. GL

I got DIY invitations from Michaels. They are pretty plain (just have an ivory pearl border around them), but I didn't want to spend so much on invitations and this was perfect. The kit also came with the response cards and envelopes. There was 50 in each package and they were originally like 25 dollars and I got each box for $15. I wanted to get them printed somewhere, but one day I wanted to try it out and I printed one. It turned out to be really easy, so I just decided to do it myself! They came out great!

We made our invitations ourselves.  We bought the card stock from JoAnn's for $6.00.  Designed our invitation on microsoft word.  We got them printed at office depot for 0.15cents a sheet for color ink.  And out RSVP cards were 0.5cents because they were black ink only.  I paid 0.75 cents also from office depot to cut everything by a laser cutter.  We bought a invtation kit from Target that was on clearance because it was missing stuff in it.  But we only used the pocket fold for only 10.00.  We ordered A8 envelopes from amazon.  I want to say our invitaion came out to be less than $50 for hundred invitations. It saved us lots of money.
