AW - My Weekend

I feel like a post hog lately.  But this was too good not to share.

DH and I went to a concert festival over the weekend and saw lots of great bands like Skillet, The Museum, Jars of Clay, David Crowder Band, Newsboys, and lots more.  This was DH's 41st Skillet show.  Check out this youtube video of Skillet (Jon Cooper) and pay special attention at 0:43.  Yup - I'm "the wife"

We go to a lot of concerts apparently.  This was my 13th time seeing Skillet, 6th time seeing Jars of Clay and 7th or 8th time seeing the Newsboys.

Anyone else have any favorite bands that you like to go see in concert?

Omgosh we saw Skillet kinda by accident when we went to a Creed concert last year- I went out the next day and bought their cd. I LOVED them. They are awesome!

Lisa, that is SO cool that you and your H are talked about on that video!! I actually saw Skillet in concert this past weekend too! Where did you see them? We went to Cedar Point in Ohio on Saturday. We went for Tobymac because I love him. I don't really know much Skillet music, but the people who went with us wanted to see Skillet. We only watched a few of their songs because they were on last and it was getting late and we had a 3 hour and 20 minute drive home. They seemed good though (just a tiny bit heavier than I normally like). Tobymac was awesome! I got his autograph and a picture of him signing my autograph and a fist bump haha. Pretty cool.

Awesome Ashley!  I love TobyMac too.  Did Jon Cooper sing with him on Tonight?  I've seen them do a concert together before and they sang together.

We were in Shippensburg, PA.  It was Friday night.  I wouldn't normally like their music but it is DH's favorite band and after seeing them 13 times in the last 4 years, they've grown on me and I now look forward to their concerts.

Very cool! I am not sure if Jon Cooper sang with him on Tonight or not because we were standing kind of far back. It was amazing though!

PS- did you end up coming to Pittsburgh for a Pirate game? I know you mentioned you might.
