Anyone interested in buddying up?

I'm looking for my wedding date twin and thought maybe others would be interested in doing the same.  Anyone getting married July 2?

Also, have you ladies ever thought about doing a secret santa type thing?

Yay!!  Where are you in your planning?  What are you doing differently this time?

Lisa, yeah, but I was looking for date twins on my more unique boards.

A few years ago, one of the women here tried to do the Elfster thing.  About that time, we had a blow up on the board, and several of the women GBCK'd.  Long, boring story, but to my knowledge, it hasn't been tried since.  Been here since 2006, so it could have been done before that.

*raises hand*  That is GBCK?  Inquiring minds want to know. Oh yeah, and while we're at it, "Elfster" ...

GBCK stands for "Good-Bye, Cruel Knot" when someone gets their panties in a wad about someone calling them on something.  (In this case, it was a bunch of born-again Christians who were trying to "cure the gay" in their son/friend's son, and then trying to convert the non-Christians to their way. Several of us took exception to that attitude.)

The message "I will never visit this board again" is usually followed by a DD (dirty delete) of every message the poster has ever written.  We actually found one of the persons who GBCK'd posting a few weeks later.  Called her out again.  And unless she now has an AE, she hasn't been back since.  She could be lurking, however.

As an aside, it is perfectly acceptable to delete AS LONG as you tell us in the OP that you're might delete.  However, if you delete just because you don't like the opinions or advice offered, that is not cool, and considered a DD because posters spend time responding and giving advice when asked.

Dang.  And Elfster.  Elfster is a way to do Secret Santa on-line.  Someone has to sign up for it, and it gives your "buddy" your address, etc. to send the gift to.  There have been a few other boards that have used this, some successfully, others, not so much.

You might have an easier life without me as the resident historian.  :-)

The July board did the secret santa using elfster last year.  It seemed to work well and everyone had fun.  I don't remember seeing that anyone backed out, we all posted pics of what we received.

    Wow... drama, drama, drama.

Would any of you be interested in doing the Elfster thing?  I think it would be fun.  I'd be happy to organize it, but we would all need to decide on a price range and stuff.
