How did you chose where to do your e-pics? I like the idea of downtown Dallas in the West End because there is a 'park' FI took me to on our first date. It would be very meaningful but then the other pictures would be taken around the city. I like the idea of city pictures but not as much as a pretty lake, sunset, and trees.

I like pictures just out in nature because I think they focus more on the couple rather than suroundings. But this park would be meaningful to us. Do y'all know of any other cool picture places in downtown Dallas? Anybody have e-pics from downtown I coud see?

    I actually took my engagement pictures at my venue (reception) and I found it to be pretty perfect.

    I would definitely ask your photographer for recommendations, that's what you're paying them for!  :)

    We did ours in Deep Ellum - it was fun....lots of different walls and backgrounds. But like bsn said - your photographer should suggest some places...

    I agree with Brianna about asking your photog.  You should be able to tell them what you want and they should have ideas.  I have never heard of or been to the place we are taking ours at but my photog listened to what I want and said she had the perfect place so I trust her judgement.

    Thanks! He has suggested dt Dallas or the Mandalay canals are where he takes a lot of his pictures. He said he would also go anywhere we wanted. I want them to be fun that's why I like downtown but like I said I also like the simplicity of photos in a forest or by a lake Smile

    Here's the place I like in downtown and FI took me here on our first date before the Mav's game! It's behind apartments but I think we could take some good shots there, what do y'all think?

    I know people will try going to The W or those kinds of places. Any garden or park is really popular. Your photographer should tell you the best places for her. Just google places and you might find something you really like.

    We are going to downtown FW were he proposed and were we hang out all the time. Plus, the Japanese Gardens and some other places since we have two engagement sessions.

    We didn't even ask our photographer for suggestions. We knew a long time ago that we wanted to do our pictures in Denton because it has a lot of meaning for us. For me that was more important than any particular type of setting.

    We took some of ours at the Las Colinas Canals - is that what you are referring to when you say Mandalay Canals?  PIB.

    We chose the Fort Worth Stockyards because we hang out there a lot and in 50 years we will be able to look back at the pictures and tell our grandchildren about the good ol' days at the White Elephant Saloon. :)

    We went to downtown Dallas and to SMU, because it has a beautiful campus and it's where i went to school.

    We choose the Arboretum bc it's simply amazing and there are houses/structures to take some cool pics by.  Then we went over to White Rock Lake for some casual pics... like you said out in nature, by the lake, etc.  Both locations are right next to each so its easy to get too.  We wanted something different than our normal stomping grounds...like Ft. Worth.  I think your photographer should have some good ideas, but maybe some of the ideas from the girls can help you too.

    I love the pic you posted--it looks really nice.

    We chose Turtle Creek and Lee Park because it's an area we love and right by where Ben used to live.  PIB.

    Maybe you could do two places... when we did ours, we did some in the downtown area of Bryan, and then we went to a park too... There's a cool park in Oak Cliff that makes for pretty pictures, I think it's Lake Cliff Park.  It would be close enough to DT that you should be able to do both and have lots of time to get good shots :)

    Soo Im totally excited! We booked our session for Oct. 9th in downtown dallas!! I can't wait. Here is a park we are starting at and then going around the city!
