Anybody used Luis Castro, DJ?

Hi all, FI and I are still trying to book a DJ. We just signed with Christina at Tina Molina to be our DOC, and she recommended Luis Castro, whose business name seems to be Rhythmic Productions. The problem is I just cannot find any reviews or comments or a website for him. This makes me very, very leery of hiring him. So. Has anyone here used this person as their DJ? If so, what did you think of him? TIA!

OMG, So weird that you posted this! Same things with me....We actually met with him yesterday and looks like a cool guy. The only thing is that we cannot find any reviews about his work. He says, he gets all his bookings through word of mouth. So its kindda hard to make this decision, although the price is right. I wish I could have gone to an event they invited me to last week, so I can see how he works; unfortunately I was leaving to Vegas. If you find anything let me know. =) Thanks. GL!

So he invited you to attend something he was DJ'ing? That would probably be good enough for me. Maybe I'll meet with him. Anyone else? :)

This is right on time - I had the same questions too.  I met with Christina on Sunday and she referred him to us as well since she said he DJ'd her wedding but I still wanted to see some reviews.  His price is GREAT though.  But I'm leery because the DJ can make or break your wedding!  Please let us know what you find out.

I realize this message may be delayed for some, but I just stumbled upon it and hope this can help. I went to a wedding last summer where Luis Castro was the DJ and Emcee, music was great! I took his card with the intention of poossibly hiring him for my own wedding. Almost a year later, I am planning my own wedding and I inquired about his services. He did in fact explain that 90% of his business is through word of mouth, this is true since that is how I came across him. I understand the hesitancy by some, since I too was looking for some posted information on him and his services and stumbled upon this.... From experiance I can tell you thiis... I loved his music and it made me feel like dancing!
  • Yes we have and I know others who have. We just had the pleasure of Luis providing the music for our son and daughter in law's wedding 7-7-12....Spanish Hills Country Club.

He provided ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, it was awesome. He is so nice, and not a DJ smuck...don't know how to say it any other way, no corny jokes, nothing inappopropriate....he was just nice and fun!

He showed up in very nice business casual clothes to set everything up and then changed clothes into a very smart and sleek black suit..it was classic!

He worked with our kids in their music selection, never missing a beat!!!!!!!!  I even tried to get him introduced to one of our daughters who is available and he was busy working....now that's a dedicated person!

He helped me work in a Ricky Lee Jones Song, I Won't Grow Up for the prelude to my toast and dance with my son....it was appropriate and came off without a hitch.

He has a professional day job and can fit in to any venue.  We had a very mixed crowd, a morning wedding, and many different religious beliefs, he was able to balance the event where everyone had fun...morning weddings with a reception ending at 3:30 are hard to pull off.

He was always available by phone or text and I do not for one second regret using him.  I interviewed many before I found him through a friend...and let me tell you with the others, its all about the money, they heard the word wedding and I swear their prices doubled....but he was steady as you go.

Thank goodness for Luis Castro.  Email me if you want to get ahold of him.

Happy couple, happy parents, happy in laws=success
