props at reception

Is your DJ going to give out props (i.e. lays, blow up guitars, etc.) during the reception to get the party going? Not sure if I need to get stuff or if it's just a waste. We are having a small wedding, about 55 people.

We aren't doing props. I would be afraid people would accidentally take them then we would be responsible for replacing them.

I think they're pretty childish and really meant for a sweet sixteen, not a wedding.

We had them but our wedding was St. Patty's Day so silly props, hats, glasses are kind of a tradition.

I'm not a fan especially for such a small wedding. Our DJ offered them with the package we're getting and I asked if I could swap it out for cocktail hour music instead. I might get glow necklaces on my own though.

It sounds like something you'd have at a bar mitzvah/sweet sixteen kind of event, not something classy like a wedding
