Ceremony Site Help

Does anyone know of nice outdoor venues for a ceremony site in Northeastern Ohio? I am planning to have the wedding in Summit, Lorain, or Cuyahoga county and I'm looking for nice outdoor locations, which also have a backup indoor or sheltered area in case of rain. I've been looking, but I'm pretty clueless to the whole wedding planning process and I'm also a full-time student, so any help will be greatly appreciated!! :)

How big is your wedding?  If you can afford it, and the space isn't too small, you can't beat Stan Hywet Hall in Akron for beauty.  I've seen a lot of couples get married there, and their photos and ceremonies are always stunning.  The Botanical Gardens in Cleveland is another thought as well.

Hanna Garden in Cleveland has an indoor backup and is less expensive to rent than the Botanical Gardens, if I recall correctly.

Puskas Outdoor Party Center in Lorain might be worth checking out, too.

I was researching halls in NE Ohio yesterday actually and a place called the Shoreby Club came up.  Looks really cool!!!  It's an old historical mansion and I believe it's on the lakeshore.

We're looking into it....something different....never been to a wedding there so I really can't say much.  Just an idea.

Thanks! I'm going to look up some of these places ASAP! :) I looked into Stan Hywet and the botanical gardens before. They are gorgeous, but also very expensive. Photos are very important to me, but I just don't know if I can justify $1500-1600 for a twenty minute ceremony and an hour or so of bridal party photos.

I also think I'm going to beat my FI. All along he's been telling me he doesn't care about anything in the wedding other than he gets to marry me and for it to be outside. So all I've been looking into is outside venues. Last night he decides he doesn't want it to be any further than 30 min away and he might want it inside. Am I allowed to beat him...just a little? ;)

Look at Inn Walden in Aurora, their outdoor wedding sites are gorgeous and you can host the reception there too. They are featured in wedding venues for NE Ohio.
