Shower thank you question

I'm in the process of writing out my thank you's from my awesome shower this past weekend.  I received some gifts from groups.  I know I need to send each person a thank you, but when it is a mom and daughter that live at the same address (the daughter is over 18) do I need to send them separate cards?
Thanks ladies! :)

In that case, I sent one card. Didn't make sense to send two, IMO.

I would also just send one card addressed to both.

That's exactly what I am doing. Mother daughter teams in one house get one card. For the group gifts where the individuals live in separate households I sent each individual a card.

agreed.  how many times can you write about a blender, you know?  especially when you know they're going to read them at the same time.....i just sent 1 card to mom/daughters in same house.

I've been in the situation where my mom and I both did a gift and lived in the same house and we always just received one card and I wasn't offended at all! As long as you mention both of them in the card I think thats fine.
