RSVP Card Question

Are you ladies personalizing each individual RSVP card so as to avoid the whole fill in drama experienced by the knottie on here that received the RSVP card from Me and Zelda?  LOL.

Re: RSVP Card Question

I didn't. I just didn't feel like it. I did however have "names(s)" listed instead of the "M" so hopefully that would clear up some confusion.

I didn't personalize the card but I did number them all so that if I got one back that I couldn't read the writing I would still knew who they were.

I'm considering it, but I still don't believe that people who send back cards with that foolishness will be deterred by me listing names. I will for sure number them if they aren't personalized, and honestly, I'm leaning toward "_____ seats have been reserved in your honor..." over listing names. HTH

I think that writing "name (s)" instead of  "M_____"  is a great idea.

I had RSVP drama overload and my RSVP cards looked something like this:

We have reserved ____ seats in your honor.

Kindly respond by the first of August.

    M____________________________________

    ___Accepts with pleasure

    ___Declines with regreat

    1. Some of DH's friend's (not my friends!)  said "....you know we'll be there, why do we have to send anything back..."

    2. We also had ppl who would take the 4 seats you reserved, disregard the names on the outer enevelope, and say "well  these 3  can't come so can I bring so and so?" (ppl we never even met!)..."You said you had 4 seats reserved."

    3. Others we had to call and they were like "R S V what ?"Undecided

You sold me on personalizing mine...thanks. :) I won't send them for at least another 8+ months, but I'm going to start now looking for wording of personalized ones.

As a matter of fact, does anyone mind sharing how you personalized your RSVP cards if you did?

I didn't. I think I will feel more secure if they write in their names. 1) So I have the spelling correct, and 2) so we can nip the extras. I have a feeling if I put their names those people might come plus extras. I guess we'll see in a few weeks.

I didn't personalized with people's name. But I numbered the back of the card with those invisible pen thingy and the number matched my super crazy formatted guestlist in MS Excel

Thanks ladies.  What are these invisible pens all about?  Where can I get them from?
@Adgenya, I didn't realize that we were date twins!  Date twins and we are dancing with our fathers to the same song, cool!  When did you send out your invitations?
@summerbride11, I like how you did your RSVP cards.  I think I may have to borrow that idea.
