  My friend had a taffeta dress, and I don't remember it looking plastic-y at all in any pictures.  It may look a bit shiny, though.  My bridesmaids had taffeta dresses and they photographed very well.

  My dress is taffeta, and from the photos I've taken of it at the bridal salon, it doesn't appear plastic-looking in pictures.  Maybe a little shiny, but not outrageous.

  i'm a second time bride and my dress was taffeta and it looked great in my photos! Not shiny at all...

  My runner-up choice was taffeta. I was totally against the material until I put the dress on and it looked sooo good. It photographed fine in my pics from the bridal salon.

  I had a taffeta dress and I loved it. It wasn't super shiny and it was still soft. My BMs dresses were taffeta too! Check out pics in my siggy!
