its whats on the inside that counts! or is it?

Wedding cake ladies!

the outside is pretty much picked, but what the heck goes on the inside??

hes not so mch into chocolate, i am.

maybe 1st layer white cake. second layer chocolate, third red velvet?

but what about filling?

Suggestions please!

    Whipped cream and fresh strawberries (the actual berries, not that gooey compote) is my favorite filling. Chocolate mousse is also great.

    You could also do hazelnut or mocha mousse, cream cheese for the red velvet, lemon curd, pudding or custard, maybe a Bailey's cream, banana, coconut, peanut butter, white chocolate.

    Did your baker offer you a sample of the fillings that you can pick from?

    hey sar - i highly suggest cannoli filling! it was a big hit for us!!!!

    We also did canoli filling.

    I will be honest, I am not a cake person! I left the inside picking up to DH and I picked the outside look.  Actually, I did ask for his help picking the outside and he spent .5 seconds looking through the cake book and picked a cake to which I replied, "That is the ugliest effin cake I have ever seen." and he quit helping Tongue out

    we had red velvet with bavarian cream and fresh strawberries and bananas. So yummy!!

    we had hazelnut cake with cannoli filling and buttercream frosting.  it was freakin' delicious.

    Definitely go for a cake tasting if you can.

    We tried to make each layer very different.  One layer is chocolate cake with chocolate hazelnut filling.  The next layer is white cake with strawberry and custard.  And the last layer is white cake with coconut filling.

    We had vanilla custard, strawberry puree & fresh strawberries in one, and chocolate fudge in the other.  The first combo was a great option since most of the other filllings were cloying and way too sweet.

    we were boring
    we just had yellow cake with chocolate pudding filling....

    For each tier, I think there were 3 or 4 layers we did
    chocolate cake layer
    chocolate chip cannoli filling
    vanilla cake layer

    and then just had them keep repeating it
