Bridgewater Manor?

I've started doing some looking at venues online, though we haven't picked an official date yet (we're looking at probably August-2013 flexible, based on church/venue compatibility, or perhaps the fall ... I *LOVE* fall colors) and I really like the look of the Bridgewater Manor. Anyone have experience there? :)

Nice Area, Pretty banquet hall. Great steak and really good cocktail hour~ I think we had the room to the side and we never saw the other guests. I give it a solid B+. Why the B? My friend had a Cinderella themed wedding...ugh

I am getting married there in April.  Clearly I'm a fan.  I loved the upstairs ballroom.  Be careful with the time of year and the photos they use online.  If you're like me and you fell in love with the outdoor flowers and such be sure to ask about when they will be present.  Clearly in the fall you will have the beautiful leaves changing.  I did a tasting and the food was AMAZING in my opinion.  I felt that I got a lot for the money and the location was centralized for my family so it just worked for me.  Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I will be getting married there May, 2012 and so far I have been impressed with everything:  venue, menu, outdoor ceremony area, etc.

Keep in mind with fall it does get dark early, and if you want outdoor pictures, plan accordingly. My cousin has great shot of blackness outside for her fall wedding a couple of years back. She insisted her pics be taken outside even though it was dark out. They look horrible. Real quote from my cousin when we got to the hall and it was dark and she was mad. " It wasn't dark  in the summer when we were here and it was the same time of day."

I'm not attacking you but... why does the venue get a B for your friend's Cinderella theme?  Did the catering manager not execute it well?  Or are you giving the overall wedding experience a B?

I think a theme like that kinda jades your memory of a wedding, and the venue goes with that memory.

</div><div>Fair is fair, the venue gets an A- because of the professional staff and good food.  Disney theme got the B-. </div>

I'm having my reception there in July (2012) in the downstairs room with the side patio.  I'm getting married at my church in Colonia and we wanted something as close as possible...

We looked at a million different venues and felt that we got the most for the money here.  They were flexible, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the venue itself was just our style - subtle, sophisticated, and not gaudy.  We did the tasting and gave our deposit on the spot - the food was SO GOOD.  This place was also recommended to me by numerous family, friends, and coworkers.

The only thing I DIDN'T like was that the downstairs only has 1 bathroom for the 2 different downstairs rooms... but the other room is very small, and the bathrooms are kind of large anyway, so it wasn't a deal-breaker.  If you're in the ballroom upstairs, this is not an issue.

The shared bathrooms are still an issue if you're upstairs. Our wedding was in the big room upstairs and we had to share the bathroom with the smaller room upstairs. Little did I know that smaller room would have a Sweet 16 the night of our wedding. It was defitiely not idea but there was nothing I could do to change it.

I went to a wedding there a few years ago- it was gorgeous (and it was a budget wedding), and the food was delicious. I still think about the lamb they had at teh cocktail hour. Their ceremony was outside and that was beautiful as well.
