Impulsiveness

I just bought my wedding dress!! It's the one I tried on last weekend that was on clearance (Thanks for the complements on it and the advice the other day when I showed pics of it!) I asked myself if I would be heartbroken if someone bought it and I couldn't have it, and the answer was yes. So now I have my dress :)

So, what have you done lately that's been impulsive?

    Pics or it didn't happen!

I broke up with my boyfriend impulsively, does that count? :P We got back together less impulsively so I like to think they cancel out.

Hmm. I bought a few new books impulsively. I'm a fairly impulsive person though.

As you might be able to tell- I love to research. Google is my friend. I'm always looking over the internet.

Before Andrew and I moved in together, there was some tension over the upcoming move. And on top of that- we both had the stomach flu over Christmas. I knew I wanted to do something on New Years.

So literally the Thursday before- I was looking at Expedia and they were offering this super fancy hotel at a pretty good price. Although it was still like $189 a night. There was only one room left at that price. I thought about it for 5 minutes and threw my credit card at it.

So we ended up staying at VIno Bella in Napa over New Years:

Yup- the suite was literally twice as big as our entire apartment.

The next day- I also booked a couples massage at their spa, which is in a wine cave-

Sometimes you just have to follow your heart, hm?

So exciting that you have your dress! I think it was smart to ask yourself that question.

I just impulsively ate a M&M cookie...so stuffed i'm kind of regretting that now...

That's an awesome impulse, congratulations :)

I impulsively ate about nine breadsticks at the Olive Garden last night. It was like they wouldn't stop appearing in my hands and I had to keep eating them.  I also impulsively ordered Alfredo dipping sauce (I haven't had any cheese product in a couple of months) and nearly ate all of that with the bread as well....

see my impulse isn't as cool as yours...

Impulsive eating is the worst. I'm so bad at that!

I lied. I impulsively decided to sponsor another child today. But that's a good impusle right? A calorie free one at least...

I like Compassion International. It's one of the two "big" ones out there; the other is World Vision. There are smaller ones as well, but it depends on what you're looking for. Any ideas of what you're looking for in a sponsorship program?

I put in my two weeks notice at work yesterday.  Does that count?

Kind of impulsive, I'm not positive that it's a good decision, but it is done!

That's not just impulsive, that takes sheer GUTS lady. Do you have an idea what you want to do next, or was this an "I'm fed up so goodbye" sort of thing? Inquiring minds must know...

Well, last Friday I impulsively went into White House Black Market w/ one of my friends and bought a new pretty dress (which I cannot find a picture of on the internetz goshdarnit) and a sky-high pair of wedges:

I'm kicking myself now because I'm literally scraping the bottom of the barrel in my checking account until next Friday. It was stupid but I feel so purtty in them!

Thanks! I'm going to check them both out.
I've just been really frusterated with how I spend my money, so lately I'm even more interested in sponsoring. I'm not looking for anything too specific, just the opportunity to give money on a reacurring basis to someone who needs it.

The only thing I've been hesitant on is the legitimacy of some programs. I hear some charities don't use your money for what they claim, and that's what's kept me from participating.

Is it bad that I giggled hysterically and thought, "lets hope it was a calorie free sponsor!"

...I have such a twisted mind sometimes...  goofy!

Let's see... I impulsively decided to...  err...  hmm.

    ...OH!

I bought new swimsuits (on clearance) today and had 'em shipped my way. My mom kept telling me I'd need like three swimsuits for my 10 days in Aruba because I'd spend part of every day in one.  So now I'll have 4 swimsuits for Aruba.  Fear me!

Yum!! I <3 bread. Especially if it's slathered in butter and garlic. Eating is pretty much the only area in which I am normally impulsive.

Both are well-known, well-respected charities. As well, I  know Compassion has little badges on the bottom of their website saying they've been reviewed. I believe Compassion gives 83% of money to the actual cause, and WV is something like 86%.

    Desert, those are CUTE.

I impulsively bought a sweet dress yesterday for the conference today.  But it was totally worth it - I stopped for a breakfast item on my way to Richmond and the cashier at the gas station was like "Your dress is beautiful...you're beautiful".  I just blushed, said thanks and left.  WINNING.
