Finally Friday!

Good Morning All,

Thank goodness it is Friday!! I had meetings all day, then when I got home I put on some sneakers and went for a long walk/jog on Rock Creek Pkwy. I'm not used to doing that, I primarily do Jillian workouts, so it was definitely hard work and I am ridiculously sore today. My plan was to work out every day until the shower, but I think I need to take today off. I think at lunch I'll go for a nice, relaxing walk. At least I'll be moving. I'm afraid if I work out again today I won't be able to move tomorrow!

This weekend, I think we are going to Harrisburg to see FMIL, who is still in a rehab facility after that colonoscopy "slip" and I think on Sunday my BM and I are going to try a mystic tan. I figured I'd give it a try before the shower. I'll report back!
What does everyone have going on?

The only item I will not compromise on...my bouquet of all purple tulips wrapped in a swatch from my Mom's wedding dress.

Going to do one of his p90x work outs w him , hit up the post office to apply for my passport( yay HM!), we r hoping to shop for bands today and tonight we r having some friends over for a cookout! Tomorrow we are headed to central pa to visit DF's fam. Jl- good for u for doing that long walk!! I get burned out w exercise easily so I have a 3-4 times a week workout rule. Sorry to hear that FMIL is still recovering from the surgery hope u have a nice trip!

    Morning!
I've been such a failure at working out... Time is winding down before the wedding and I'm just SO unmotivated!!! Ugh.. Hopefully I can find some motivation soon.

This weekend we don't have many plans. Tonight we're probably going to dinner and possibly a movie - anyone have any good suggestions that they've seen lately?? Tomorrow night FI works so I'm going to go over FILs and FMIL is going to help me finish up 'stuffing' the invites! I ordered my stamps the other day and they should get here in a few days! We're also going to probably go out looking for vintage frames for our table numbers... hope it goes well!

J - YAY for working out! I really hate the day-after soreness! I do agree that it can, at times, be unbearable... you should definitely rest today - you don't want to push it and injure yourself!

    Good morning!

Well today is my mom's 60th b-day, so the FI and I are driving to MD and we will have a small party for her tomorrow. I ordered the cake (which has hot pink and black shoes and purses on it, hope she likes it) and set up the reservations at one of her favorite restaurants. I still need to get her a gift but I figured I would do that once I got to MD.

I'm also still in shock from winning our prize yesterday! We get all the detail on Sunday, but I think we made the decision to have the champagne flutes we won engraved in my best friend (and MOH) and her FI's names to give to them to use at their wedding in October. We already have some swazarski flutes my mom bought as an engagement gift, and it would be nice for my best friend to have the engraved flutes we won at her wedding.

jbaxter- Yeay for working out! And it is good to stop for one day or so and let you body rest and heal (not to mention you won't get as burned out as quickly). Let us know how the mystic tan goes!

dp- I love P90X! It will burn like crazy but is definitely worth it! The trainer is annoying as anything though... My FI and I have had a few good laughs at him :-)

G- Where did you order your stamps from?

db - enjoy your day off! It is absolutely gorgeous out here today... I'm so bummed I'm stuck in the office :( A cookout sound fabulous though... makes me ready for summer to get here ;)

sarilyneep - safe travels to MD!! Enjoy your mom's b-day celebration! As for the stamps, I just ordered them from the post office (usps.com). I originally wanted to buy vintage stamps like you see in some of the wedding blogs, but it was WAY too expensive! My postage came out to $1.05 per envelope so just to post my envelopes with REGULAR stamps, it was about $300. I did contact an etsy seller who sells vintage stamps, and it would have been $500 for them - What?!? sorry, but NOT spending that much for something people will not even notice!  Oh and that didn't even include postage for the RSVPs! Ha! I still love the look though... oh well!

G- Well I am glad you were able to get the price on them down! I know orginally you were thinking they were going to be $400! And yeah, totally not worth getting vintage stamps if they end up costing close to what the actual invites cost.... Postage is so expenisve anyways...
