what your list of projects:  i had a list of things i wanted to do but as the months went by i became lazy haha. it was coasters , std's, and various things

whats your favorite project? coasters right now

have you given up on your list? haha yes

did you think it was more expensive to DIY than to buy? well i mean if i dont buy it who is going to make it for me haha.. i mean it seems like with the coasters i have to keep buying cardstock but i would have spent more on buying them from somewhere else and plus they have my own little touch to it

post some pics of your diy:  i will do that tomorrow

also your favorite one , you can post directions on how to do them as well so the other ladies can try it out for themselves.

did you book your honeymoon? no money wasnt looking good for us , because i wasnt working

US or out the US? i am thinking about us because i am scared to fly lol but i am thinking about outside of us now

curise or resort? probably a resort or something

Did you use a traveling agency? i am doing it all myself

How long is your honeymoon gong to be? i want it to be at least 2 weeks or a week and a hlf

Who is waitng to go on their honeymoon? me me me me!!

    what your list of projects:  No DYI's.. FI says why do something yourself when you can just pay someone else to do it.. ugh..

    whats your favorite project? no projects.. but on the hunt for blue shoes.. the one's i just ordered might make me too tall for FI

    curise or resort? Excellence Club.. All Inclusive, All Adults

    Did you use a traveling agency? Liberty Travel.. they matched the way cheaper price we found on Travelocity..

    How long is your honeymoon gong to be? 7 days

    Who is waitng to go on their honeymoon? So Me!

    Where do you want to go if you didnt book it yet? going to Riviera Maya, Mexico 

    You going right after the wedding or the day after?     Getting married on a Friday.. leaving on a Sunday

    what your list of projects:  centerpieces, favors (assembling), cake toppers (adding bling), table numbers, escort cards, addressing invites.

    whats your favorite project? don't really have them, just want to get them all done!!

    have you given up on your list? no

    did you think it was more expensive to DIY than to buy? no, I made sure I picked things that would save me money.

    post some pics of your diy:  don't really have any pics.

    also your favorite one , you can post directions on how to do them as well so the other ladies can try it out for themselves.
    Not really something I have to make, but I throwing them together myself....I am going to love my centerpieces, haven't done them yet, but they will be IKEA lanterns with white shells and a turquoise candle in them, with starfish, and sand dollars and tea lights surrounding them...

    Did you use a traveling agency? Nope, booked straight through their website.  And got fantastic reviews of the place on TripAdvisor.com

    How long is your honeymoon gong to be? 6 nights

    Who is waitng to go on their honeymoon? Can't wait!!

    Where do you want to go if you didnt book it yet? n/a

    You going right after the wedding or the day after?     Nope, wedding is Friday, we leave Monday, so we can see our family and friends off on Sunday.

    what your list of projects:  so many things!!! Write out the ceremony, make the STDs, make the programs, make the menus, make the escort cards, finish the card box, finish the centerpieces, finish the background ceremony pieces, and make the monogramed cocktail napkins.

    whats your favorite project? none of them!!!

    have you given up on your list? no surprisingly

    did you think it was more expensive to DIY than to buy? for certain things like our centerpieces and our ceremony background pieces. But for things like our cocktail napkins, our STDs, programs and menus we are definitely saving money there.

    post some pics of your diy:  I only have pictures of the card box which is in progress.



    It started off bright orange. I'm talking 1970s retro orange! We painted it and now are in the process of glueing ripped pieces of brown paper bags. We have two more luggages which will be stacked on top of this one.  This is what it should look like when we are done.

    Who is waitng to go on their honeymoon? I think FI and I are both equally excited.
     
    Where do you want to go if you didnt book it yet? Riviera Maya we are leaning towards the Royal Playa Del Carmen

    You going right after the wedding or the day after?     No we are having our wedding on a Sat and then leaving on Friday so we only have to use up 5 working days

    what your list of projects:  STD's, placecards, table numbers, welcome bags for guests staying at our hotel, bathroom baskets, and programs.

    whats your favorite project? Not sure, haven't done all of them yet.

    have you given up on your list? no

    did you think it was more expensive to DIY than to buy?It depends on what it is. We saved a lot on our STD's and placecards. We have been saving up all of our wine corks and our placecards will sit in them.

    curise or resort? Resort!

    Did you use a traveling agency?Yes, it was our first time using one and probably the last. We have always had great success booking on our own but with so many expenses at once we wanted the option to pay in increments.

    How long is your honeymoon gong to be? 8 days

    Who is waitng to go on their honeymoon? We both can't wait! 
     
    Where do you want to go if you didnt book it yet?

    You going right after the wedding or the day after?     No we are leaving that Monday. We wanted to enjoy breakfast with our guests the next morning and not have to rush. Plus a lot of flights to the Caribbean only go out firs thing in the morning. It would have been too much.

    curise or resort?      we stayed at the grand hyatt in both maui and kauai

    Did you use a traveling agency? Booked through expedia

    How long is your honeymoon gong to be? it was 12 nights

    Who is waitng to go on their honeymoon? We got married on a Saturday and left on a wednesday

    Where do you want to go if you didnt book it yet? n/a

    You going right after the wedding or the day after?     We waited 4 days to go, which was a great amount of time. Gave us time to get settled after the wedding and then pack.

    what your list of projects:  a lot of diy:  votives for ceremony, table numbers, invitations, ring bearers pillow, programs, cocktail hour centerpieces, cocktail napkins, a lot of my bridesmaids gifts, etc.

    whats your favorite project? invitations...they're so much fun, despite being a pain the butt to do

    have you given up on your list? nope..it gets longer

    did you think it was more expensive to DIY than to buy? for some things yes, for the invites, ceremony decor, and a few others its way cheaper

    post some pics of your diy:  I cant...i'm at work but here is a link to my card box that's done.  its the only thing i took a picture of so far haha

    Did you use a traveling agency? we're going through AAA cause they've booked all of FI's cruises before, as well as one of mine, and have the best rates and deals

    How long is your honeymoon gong to be? 14 days, not including the travel to and from Europe

    Who is waitng to go on their honeymoon? we might, it depends on if I get a teaching job, and we know how that it is right now in NJ

    Where do you want to go if you didnt book it yet? we would be going to Europe...it begins in Copenhagen and ends in Rome.  Here is a link to the cruise.

    You going right after the wedding or the day after?     probably 2 days after so we can be in copenhagen the night before to be able to do stuff there!  i am so excited haha

    what your list of projects:  DIY picture frame card box, printing response cards and direction cards (I ordered the invite), decorating manzanita tree
    whats your favorite project? none, I've been too lazy to start any of them.  I'm actually pretty creative/crafty too, just too lazy to bother.
    have you given up on your list? nope
    did you think it was more expensive to DIY than to buy? depends what it is.  I love etsy, so the things that would require purchasing a ton of stuff just to be able to DIY I've ordered.  Some things are cheaper to DIY, especially with coupons!

    Did you use a traveling agency? No, but the resort customer service person was helpful.

    Who is waitng to go on their honeymoon?  I keep asking if we can go on the honeymoon before the wedding lol
    Where do you want to go if you didnt book it yet? Wish List - Europe (too expensive)
    You going right after the wedding or the day after?     Wedding is Friday, we leave Tuesday.

    Northstar:  I'm loving your card box!  I've seen this before, but never knew how it was done.  Will you just open the suitcase to allow people to leave their card?  If so, I'd be concerned no one would be able to see the whole project!  Let me know because I'm interested in doing one too.  :)

    what your list of projects:  My DIY ones are, the programs, the placecards, the directions and assembling the favors.

    whats your favorite project? I haven't begun any of them, so its kind of hard to say. 

    have you given up on your list? not yet, but we'll see what happens when I actually start my DIY list.

    did you think it was more expensive to DIY than to buy? I am hoping not.  If it comes to that, then I am going to nix the DIY.  The whole point in my doing anything myself is to save money. 

    post some pics of your diy:  Probably in a couple months I'll begin the DIY projects.



    2nd topic:Honeymoon

    did you book your honeymoon? Half of it.  We've got the plan tickets all booked, but are still finding the best deals for the hotel and cruise we chose.

    US or out the US? Out of the US, I'm like you Shaki and don't like to fly, but I am going to get something to help me relax on the flight.

    curise or resort? Both!  We are going to Excellence Club Playa Mujeres for a week. Which I am beyond excited about.  After that we are flying to Ft Lauderdale and going on a cruise for another week.  The cruise stops at Key West, Jamaica and Grand Caymen. 

    Did you use a traveling agency? No, FI is really good at finding deals online.  The honeymoon has become his project.  We're really close to booking the cruise portion though. 

    How long is your honeymoon gong to be? 2 weeks.  We figured probably at no other time will we be able to take a vacation for that long, and you only honeymoon once. 

    Who is waitng to go on their honeymoon? We both can't wait! 

    Where do you want to go if you didnt book it yet? n/a

    You going right after the wedding or the day after?     We're getting married on a Saturday and our flight to Cancun leaves at 9am the next morning (Sunday).  Good thing our reception ends at 5.

    northstar-- thats a cute DIY project just as the PP i have never seen that before.


    it seems like everyone is going to mexico lol. i havent decided yet well for my "mini moon" ughh lol


    so why did you some of you pick a curise?was it cheaper or just a preference?
