I just had to share this with everyone , as I am nearly crying and feeling so thankful right now. As some of you may remember we did put a despot down on a venue earlier this month before we decided Lake Tahoe would be better for us. It was a 900.00 deposit and in the contract it did state there were no refunds. I of course called the coordinator and explained our situation and also understood that while we did sign something , this was completely unexpected and we would be happy and appreciative if we could even get 50% of our deposit back since we had not used any of their services aside from reserving the date.
She told me she had to check with her managers to see what could be done , and I told her I absolutely understood. Just a few moments ago I got an email that they are sending us a check for the FULL 900.00 amount ! I am just almost in tears , and she even called my FI at work to make sure I received the email and we are just so grateful for such understanding. We have already decided when vow renewal time comes we will be going there. I feel so fortunate and lucky and am almost crying , sorry for gushing like this but it means so much to the both of us . We aee sending thank you cards to her and her managers and I feel so relieved right now I just had to let everyone know !
