CHEAP (possibly ammateur) photographer for engagement pics?

Hi ladies...I'm a Detroit bride and will be visiting Boston in 2 weeks on vacation (FI is a HUGE Red Sox fan so I bought him tickets for his Bday and plane tickets for Christmas) and I thought it might be cool to have some of our engagement pics taken while we're there... can anyone recommend a cheap/ammateur photographer that would be willing to take some good quality (and artistic) photos for us?  probably like an hour of time total.  Thanks in advance!

    Maybe try contacting the Photography department at one of the local colleges (I know for an example that Massachusetts College of Art has a Photography department...) - there may be students looking to further their portfolio who would be willing to work for a lower rate.

    My FI's coworker Maureen is a fantastic amateur photographer who will be doing our engagements and loves the work she does! I'm not sure if she's available or what she would charge u, but u should contact her if u like her work!! Her website is yourworldmylens.com

    The photographers I used for my wedding might be able to help you out- they were wicked flexible with budget because they aren't very well known yet. I loved their work though, it's very artsy and good quality. www.portraitnewengland.com

    yes you might want to check out the local colleges.....  I would recommend AIB (The art institute of Boston) ...who has an amazing photography department!  Also The New England School of Photography....

    If you don't have any luck, let me know....I have a few very talented photography students who would probably jump at the chance for some extra $$$
