Why am I up at 6:47 on the only Saturday I do not have to work?

Cry

It's not fair.

Anyway.... Good morning ladies.   What is everyone's plans for the day?

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

  • You're up because you're old and old people don't sleep in late?  I kid, I kid...
Says the other old person who is about to go to bed at 9:30 PM because she has to be at work at 5 AM on a Sunday.

Tonight is "party night" on the island, so H is working a double shift and shoudl be home just in time to wake me up to go to work.  The dog is snoring away as peaceful as can be.

I found out over the weekend that H has not yet taken me to the gemfields of Australia.  It is supposedly the largest sapphire field in the Southern Hemisphere!  This must be rectified...and soon.  I care not that we are 1000km from it.  I must see this!

  • Probably for the same reason that I woke up earlier today than I do during the work week!  God must love irony!

  • H has to work pretty much all day. im going to exchange the last of the wedding gifts we dont want/need and clean the apartment.
  • Good morning.  It's H's birthday so I woke up early to see him before he went to work.  One of my college friends is here (still sleeping) and when she wakes up we're going shopping, then preparing for the house party/BBQ we're having later when H gets out of work.

[QUOTE]Hi Lynn! DH and I have a ton of errands to run today. But tonight we are going to a AHR for some friends of ours. They got married in South Africa. And tomorrow we leave for PUERTO RICO!

</div><div>aMrs - I have been waking up early all week.  It's pissing me off actually, since I've been working nights all week also.   I think it's time to put down the hurricane shutter to make the room a cave.  This time of year the sun comes in my room and wakes me up.</div>

  • Oh....   DH is making me pancakes for breakfast, then I'm off to get pedicures with a friend for the wedding tonight.

DH will be busy all day so I doubt I will see him at all.  He has been on vacation all week and this is the first meal we have had together.

  • Morning! P&R here, because I've got to take both daughters to the optometrist this morning. Then it's riding lessons this afternoon, and probably a picnic by the lake for dinner. Should be fun!

Had a good night last night with my friend. Melting Pot cheese fondue for apps, salad, and skip straight to dessert. Yummy!

aMrs, you definitely need to rectify the situation. Some of my favorite earrings are a pair of opals that my ex-h brought me back from OZ.
  • Morning everyone... P&R here too... it's FI's bday today.

We're going to look at two houses this morning and then have a family BBQ/party to celebrate a bunch of bdays (FSIL's was Thursday, FI's is today, and FBIL is Tuesday) with some OOT family.

Slept like a rock last night. First time in weeks (months?) that I can honestly say that... guess that's what working a 13 hour day will do to you.
  • I slept in, and it feels great!

  • I woke up around 9 this morning to the sound of a saw. H was up working early this morning. Now he and his guys are off cutting lawns and it's all peace and quiet again.

I'm watching some lame movie on the Disney channel and attempting to write. Really all I want to do is lay on the couch all day but I have to get stuff done i guess.
  • We're in our hometown right now which is in CST. Oz got me up at 6am because it would be 7am at home and that's when he's used to getting up. Every. single. day. that we're here he wakes me up that early. I'm exhausted.

I woke up at 6:45am too.  :(  I tried staying in bed for an hour then gave up. I have nothing but chores to deal with today.  Blah
  • I woke up at like 7:30, but went to bed late because I was talking to FI. I went out and had an appt this morning, then got a coffee and sat down at the waterfront. It was nice and relaxing. I plan to just sit by the pool today.
