surprise for BM dress shopping

Hi there! I'm looking for suggestions so any ideas would be welcome!

All of my BM's and I are going dress shopping tomorrow night. I called the store and asked if I could surprise the girls with champagne and fruit and cheese, but I was told no. I'm very disappointed beccause I wanted to do something cute and memorable for them, but that won't work and I really don't have any other ideas. Does anyone have any inexpensive and quick ideas?

Thanks!

  • I took mine out to lunch afterward as a thank you for taking the time from their day.

  • How about treating them to a cocktail afterwards?
  • thanks for the suggestions! we're all going to a friends after for food and wine. Everyone is bringing something. I got a sandwich platter and cupcakes, as well as some wine. Do you think this is enough? I was hoping to surprise them with something at the store. The champagne would have been the best! I really wish they would allow it! Undecided
  • Cocktails afterwards.

Would you allow this around all of those dresses?

  • well, I knew it was a long shot, but I used to work there so I was hoping they might say yes. I understand their rationale, but I'm just struggling to come up with another idea... I'm not upset by their response, just trying to adapt!
  • If you're going somewhere after (not that that's necessary) I think you'll be fine.

Instead of food, why not make them each a small tissue paper bouquet to hold while they're trying dresses on.

I did these when I was a kid.  Use 4-5 sheets of tissue paper for each flower. Fold the paper like a fan.  Clip with a bobby pin the the center.  Tear the two ends to give it a frilly look.  Unfold the paper to make a flower and fasten to a pipecleaner.  Each flower takes about 90 seconds to make.

I know it's silly but it can be fun.

I think this is plenty and they will be really happy.

  • I don't really have any suggestions, but it is nice to hear of a thoughtful bride who wants to do something nice for their BMs for a change.  I think it is so kind of you, instead of expecting the opposite, like a lot of brides.  Kudos to you!
