What do you think of these table numbers?

Hey girls,
I'm sticking to traditional table numbers because we really couldn't find table names that worked with the both of us -- we have vastly differing interests.  So I thought I'd take some of our engagement photos, make them black and white and put a purple (our color) number as our table number. They'll be printed on thick cardstock and be displayed on one of those basic metal picture holders. Each table will have a different picture.  Is this silly? A little self indulgent?

Here are a few of the ones I already did --  don't want to spend more time on it unless I'm actually going to use them...

Thanks in advance for your opinions... with less than three weeks to go I no longer trust my own judgement!

No I think they are really cute.. (keep going!!)

I would change the color of the number (darker or not transparent) or maybe put a white or black layer underneath it so that it stands out more.

I love them and agree with Christine's comments.  I'm boased because we had ones like that with pictures of our pets, though!

Thanks for the encouragement ladies -- I'm beginning to lose it.  Here is one with a greyish layer underneath the 5... and a little teeny shadow...

i looooove them!!!!  i agree with the color change for the numbers too.  even with the gray layer still doesnt stand out.  you can always make the numbers small so they cover the lighter portion of the picture and will stand out

Yeah, I've gotta do something to make the numbers stand out more... but I'm tired. I'll figure it out tomorrow.

    Thanks again folks :)

I would make the photo a little more transparent and the number a little more solid. They look cute!

Great idea and great way to use e-pics!  Maybe try a thin white border around the number to make it pop against the photo?

LOVE THEM!  I agree with changing the color of the numbers so that they are more visible.  I am planning on doing the same thing, using our engagement photos as our table markers.  Love them!

Not silly or self-indulgent (well, not any more than having a huge, expensive party celebrating the fact that you really like each other -- weddings are kind of self-indulgent by nature), and I bet guests will like getting to see your engagement photos.

I agree with others though about the contrast.

Though I agree with Christine.... make the number color a little darker if you can, or make them stand out some how ~ maybe add a contrasting border around them?

I agree with everyone else-I love them but I think the color of the number needs to stand out more!

I may steal this idea!  How are you doing it?  I'm assuming just photo-shopping the picture, but how are you printing them out?

    JoBell -- I'm using moo.com.

I did my photoshare cards through them and the quality is FANTASTIC.  It's 19.99 for 20 postcard sized cards.

And yes, I'm using photoshop to edit them.

You've got me thinking now -- looks like another night cuddling up to Photoshop...
