TGIF!

Happy Friday!

What are your weekend plans?  WR? NWR?

Re: TGIF!

  • NWR: FI and I are going to look at model homes tomorrow (a favorite pastime, and hopefully productive, too).  We can't buy a house together until we're married since we're going with a VA loan, so at least for now we can look.  The house and lot we really wanted was recently built on. :(  Sunday we are going to our friends' house up north to watch the superbowl.

WR: working on wording for RSVP cards and such.  Nothin major.  Maybe setting up meeting times with our DJ and florist (for mockup) for when we go for our food tasting in March.

WR: I think tonight I'll be attaching the ribbon on my bubbles.

ETA - IS ANYONE ELSE ALSO REALLY EXCITED FOR THE PUPPY BOWL??  My money's on Leroy Brown.

Listen, you have to help me out here... I need the Giants to win so that FI's season tickets will go up in value and we can sell them at higher prices next year because we're BROKE

  • NWR: Hoping the Giants win! lol Really, I only want to watch the Superbowl because it's in Indy, and I grew up an hour from there and everyone on my Facebook has been talking about the Superbowl village. Just proud that Indy has it, even if the Colts stunk this year! Pretty sure I'm the only one at work not wearing Patriots gear today lol Might go to a Superbowl party at FI's friend's house. My sis is also visiting from New Hampshire (she goes to school there), so we'll probably do some shopping and maybe go ice skating.

WR: I plan to look for shoes. I'm HOPING my dress might come in by the time I get to Indiana in two weeks, and if so, I'd like to have my shoes to start the fitting process! Otherwise, I have a few more STDs to address and will probably start punching vellum flowers for our DIY escort cards.

YES! OMG Puppy bowl makes me SO excited. But we're having a Superbowl party, so you know...I'll watch the game aspect, too.

WR: Engagement pictures tomorrow! I picked up a few things from H&M last night and I think they may work...we'll see. I'm making fiance do a fashion show tonight so we can pick outfits. Likely 2 or 3...but more than likely, only 2.

NWR: On Saturday, after e-photos, we're seeing some of my law school friends for the first time in what seems like months. Yay for potlucks! And wine. I will surely need some wine after e-photos.

On Sunday, we're hosting Superbowl this year. Should only be about 12 people though, thankfully. I'll be cooking...and by "cooking" I mean, preparing dips and dialing the pizza guy.

  • super bowl super bowl super bowl!!

this morning i was on the today show yay :) i am volunteering again this afternoon/tonight and tomorrow and planning to do some celebrity stalking and downtown hanging out the next few days as well.  our jeweler is having a tailgate hosted by ivanka trump on sunday that fiance really wants to go to so perhaps we will hit that up!! i am EXHAUSTED from all the walking around and volunteering and late nights but it has been an absolute blast :)

nothing wedding related for me this weekend due to the super bowl!
  • We were supposed to go on this romantic getaway in a little B&B about 1 hour driving from the city where we work, but it started snowing like crazy and the roads are all congested, so it would take us at least five hours to get there. Plus, FI is not a confident driver at all,  he's had his first car since August, and he's never driven in snow before. So I checked into a local hotel and I'm waiting for FI here - going to our hometown would be crazy too, plus this way we're having some of the getaway feeling.

Still, I'm pretty bummed. This is supposed to be a birthday present, for my birthday last MAY - we were supposed to go to London or Paris, but he never got around to booking it. Then we got engaged and I said we should do something more local to save money, and he still didn't book anything, until I finally got tired of it and picked my present myself. And now he wants to cancel the whole weekend and not even try to get there tomorrow. I was really looking forward to this, :(. I guess we should just make the best of things tonight, but even though this hotel is fun, we've been here before and it's not really exciting anymore. And I'm too bummed to enjoy the romance of it all.

  • WR: My mom, MOH, and I going BM dress shopping again. Hopefully, this place has a better selection. We're also going to start planning out how the invites will look.

NWR: Window shopping for a car and/or SUV. It all really depends on the prices we find and what we can get for a trade in on our car. I love tax returns! Watching the Superbowl. I don't care who wins as long as we win at least one of our numbers from the pool.

  • WR:  just continue some research

NWR: work on my thesis, go skiing, go to a Chocolate Festival (big event that supports Planned Parenthood - it's basically a non-Mormon event!)

^ YES!!!! I saw some clips and previews this week. Super cute.
and this weekend is pretty busy for me.
NWR: Im headed to indiana (thankfully not indy-area) for a chippendales show for a bachelorette party! Ive never been, and Im excited.
Sunday I'll be watching the Superbowl too, and rooting for the patriots!! Although he's from U of M and by nature Im not allowed to like him, i kinda do.
Tonight is tax night. oh joy.

WR: My budget may need some re-evaluating and aligning. We lost our videographer this week, so I need to see what we may still be able to afford. Hopefully we will book our chicago hotel, and i will likely order my "mrs." hanger for my dress.

  • NWR: Movie night tonight with FI, Superbowl party at FIs cousin's house. I'm so happy football season is almost over. Of course I'm happy the Giants made it but FI is SO obsessed with football that we never do anything non football related on Sundays during the season lol WR: nothing this weekend! Sent in the deposit for the videographer yesterday and touched base with our venue a few days ago, so I think we are in good shape

  • WR - Probably nothing unless my invitation lady calls us back and says she actually got the invites in.  She is seriously the worst business lady and I regret going with her at the moment due to her lack of professionalism.  I will call my RB/FG's mom this weekend to set up a time to go shopping.

NWR - I worked late tonight, we got take out and will probably head to bed early / watch a movie.  Tomorrow I have to work probably all day so probably just relaxing again tomorrow and staying in.  Sunday I have to do homework then watch the Superbowl and the Patriots beat the Giants!

    Anniversary
  • Saturday trying to get a few more checks done and Sunday watching the superbowl of course...
