OC Photo help

Hi Knotties,

I need your expertise. I’m looking for the best place to take photos in the OC/LA area. This can be wedding or engagement photos. Also, tell me why. Does the place have great lighting? Filled with nature? Modern buildings? What makes it unique to where you live? I’ll be using your Knot name, btw.
Thanks in advance!

We are having ours done in Downtown San Juan Capistrano. It has a cute train station, an old movie theater, tons and tons of architecture with the Mission being right  there. It has really cute little secret places, such as bright red doorways with ivy growing on brick walls around it. It just has tons of versatile elements that everyone would like!

We took our engagement photos at Disneyland. It was really special to us because I worked there for a few years and my FI asked me to be his girlfriend there, then later proposed to me there.

Disney offers a variety of backgrounds to choose from. We took photos all over both parks and Downtown Disney and they all turned out great!

Good recommendations so far. Here are just a few that I can think of.

Along the lines of downtown SJC, you can actually photograph inside the SJC Mission, for a fee though $50 and your photographer has to have insurance..

Fullerton Train Station, urban charm,  brick buildings, great lighting

Downtown Long beach, lighthouse nearby, waterview, downtown architectural bridge, lots to do.

Huntington Beach, main street, pier,  good SoCal lifestyle, Hyatt Hotel great for photos too.

The Lab in Costa Mesa, urban like location, hip, trendy backgrounds.

Balboa Island, Pier, Fun Zone carnical rides, merry go around,

    Laguna, need not say more!

    John
