need help/ recommendations on bridal salons in Jacksonville and Surrounding Areas

i am spoiled i want to be treated right. i've only been to one shop so far, and they have my DREAM DRESS, but I'm not going to buy it until I've been to a few more shops, and I am SURE in MY OWN MIND that it's THE ONE.  Can you recommend a salon or two that you went to and they treated you like u felt you should be treated. I mean most of us a probably spending a couple hundred to more than a 1,000 on a dress and i don't want to feel like i'm on an assembly line (warning i was given about david's bridal) I've already been to Bridal Shop at the Avenues.  I've talked my self out of going to White Magnolia because their website says their cheapest dress is 1500, and if that's the case, i'd just go back and buy my dream dress, without trying on another single dress. PLEASE HELP.

Thanks!!

I really liked Park Avenue Bridal in Orange Park (they also have a new location in Mandarin where Riverside Bridal used to be).  The consultants were really friendly, and most of their dresses were under $1000 when I was there.  Also, I had a great experience with the David's Bridal store at the avenues so don't count them out yet.  Both of the consultants that helped were fabulous and spent a lot of time with me.  Just don't go on Saturday or Sunday because they're usually swamped!  Make an appointment during the week when they're less busy.

I would definately recommend Park Avenue Bridal at Mandarin (I think their Orange Park store closed).   Natalie was awesome, and was able to pull dresses that I liked without me knowing exactly what I liked.  I had a horrible experience at Bridal Shop at the Avenues though, so Im glad you didnt have that!

thanks! i'm going to park avenue saturday, and michael's formalwear, gonna hold off on davids a little longer.  i didn't have a horrible experience at the bridal shop at the avenues. the girl was great, but there was a selfish bride who had a ginormous entourage who had ALL the seats and her appointment ran over into mine, so my family (only my mom and sister) couldn't sit down.  i don't blame the shop. i blame the selfish girl and her stupid family they camped there the ENTIRE time i was trying on dresses.

The girls at Michaels Formalwear (at the Town Center) are very nice! Their selection of dresses isn't huge, but they have really beautiful gowns at pretty good prices! Good luck with your search! It's so much fun!!:)

Another bridal shop bit the dust?  Geez lol.  It's really sad how many stores have closed down in the last few years.

I purchased my gown at Park Avenue Bridal shop in Mandarin.  I would also recommend Love, a bridal boutique in Jacksonville Beach.  Very nice dresses. Budget is between $1000 - $3000 at the Love Boutique.

David's Bridal at the Avenues, was just okay. I went on a Saturday morning, and it was crazy busy.

Bridals and More on Beach Blvd is fantastic. I purchased my wedding gown there and they did my alterations. The two women who run the shop are fantastic and very caring. They tracked down the shoes that I had found online that I wanted and ordered them for me so that they could help me with the color matching. They also showed me catalogs of jewelry and ordered it for me to look at with my dress.

There is a new shop in St Augustine, Something Borrowed Bridal they are at 3149 Ponce DeLeon Blvd (US 1) in the Depot Plaza. Small shop, good prices, friendly owner, huge selection on their website.

    Good Luck
