I grew up in Ohio but currently live in New York with my fiance. We are having a difficult time finding an officiate for our upcoming wedding and are looking for any suggestions. He is Catholic and I was raised Southern Baptist, so a Justice of the Peace or Non-Denominational would be ideal.

What, exactly, is the 'difficulty'? Are you saying no one is willing to do a non-denominational ceremony or are they already booked? I don't mean to sound snarky but why did you wait until just 3 months before your ceremony to try to book an officiant? Gosh, good luck with that.

Even though the vendor post was deleted as it should have been you should look into Steve Hoffman. He is a Justice of the Peace, marries a ridiculous amount of people every year and has a nice (sometimes quirky) personality. What about having a friend officiate I know in Kentucky you used to be able to get a license online to marry someone. Not sure what Ohio laws are?

Also, I agree that you may be able to have a friend officiate. Here is the licensing procedure in the State of Ohio:

If you use an online licensing site, be sure they can and will provide a "Letter of Good Standing." Please note: it must be a physical document - no email, faxes, etc.
